When ever you change oem emission components obviously the "emissions part" of warranty will be void.
It is a Federal Crime [not enforced often] to change oem [as built] catalytic convertors unless they can be proven to have failed [they must be saved for EPA inspection]. California can fine shops $10,000 per cat changed.
Why all the cheapo " high flow", big honeycombed, lightly thinly plated fast wearing out aftermarket cats are sold for off road use only...........not legal for any street vehicle.
Many states make the first owner responsible for future emissions when they sell a "modified" car........."as is" won't protect you in future if the new owner can prove the cats were changed.
At worst you will be required to return the sold car to as new with new oem cats piping etc. prior to 100,000 miles.
When you sign the sales transfer document you are certifying that the car is oem as far as emission components or anything that might affect emissions is concerned.

anything related to drivability/engine preformance can be affected by changes made in the emissions system.
And the biggest thing to remember...even if it is 50 states legal, CARB legal, and having EO#'s DOES NOT mean that it dosent void the warranty.
