Question about CAI and Z-Tube

When you have a cold air intake installed, is there still a need for a Z-tube or does the CAI pretty much take care of that problem>

In other words, is there a need for a z-tube if I install a Nismo CAI?

Most CAI's have plumbing that goes all the way to the plenum. This includes the Nismo CAI. So you won't need a Z-tube.
