Backorder!!!

So about a month ago I ordered an HKS Hi-Power exhaust from Intense Motorsports and at the time they told me it was on back order and would take 4 to 6 weeks. So it sucked from the get-go. I emailed them twice last week trying to see if I could get an update, but did not recieve a reply. So I called them today to see what was up, and they told me that they had talked to HKS today (little fishy, but who knows, they might have) and that it would still be atleast 4 more weeks!!! Im really pissed at how long this is taking, I mean it does not take 2 months to weld some pipes together (I know theres more to it than that, but still...) Anyways, I just needed to let out some of my anger. At this rate my Kinetx intake manifold will arrive first which should be awesome.

It's true they are on backorder. Try not to be upset at the vendors since there is nothing we can do. HKS is not very easy to deal with either.

At least it's not a part that's keeping you from being able to drive while you're waiting. Patience is a luxury you can afford right now.

But I understand wanting to vent. I was fully prepared to wait a couple of months for my Nismo bumper and rear diffuser when I ordered them, but I'm still anxious for them to arrive.

it's true. HKS is quite hard to deal with. they will get things in when they want to. still, HKS is on my best picks list.

Hello,

This is Darren, the Sales Manager from Intense Motorsports. We are an HKS Pro Dealer. As such, we have the luxury of inquiring from HKS as to the time frame on backorder products. These products are made in Japan, and shipped to HKS USA (3-3.5 weeks, good weather). At that point, they go through the custom's process (1-2 weeks), and then are inventoried (1 week). From there, they are sent directly to our customers. Our company's goal is to provide our customer's as close of an eta on backorders as possible. However, this is only an approximation, given to us by the manufacturer (in this case HKS). Since we are not the manufacturer, we do not have any control over how long it takes for manufacturing, any delays in ocean freight, and any delay's in customs (we are at war...). Therefore, in your case, this exhaust has been delayed longer than we/HKS had expected. We also, at times, advise our customer's that they're more than welcome to contact the manufacturer to verify what we tell them. As we apologized yesterday to you, when you called, I will apologize now (public). I wish there was better new that we can provide you, but as Bulletproof said, there's nothing that we can do. Sorry bout that.

Hey Im sorry, I did not mean to bash your company directly, because I know how these things work, I just was frustrated. You have no need to back your story, if I did not think that you were a reputable company I would have cancelled my order...but I didnt. HKS needs to stop slow pokin around and supplying the demand.

It's ok. I just noticed that your first post on G35Driver was about this backorder issue. Therefore, to me, it looked like you joined just to tell the community about us. If that wasn't the case, then I'm truly sorry. We work very hard to make everyone happy, in an industry that is 95% products imported from across the world. I do need to reply to this thread, as it makes us look bad. As an enthusiast myself, I know how frustrating it is to be told one ETA, and then get another ETA a few weeks later. (I waited 7 months on wheels for my Z, that I was told would be here in 3 weeks). We appreciate your patience, and hope that you and others on this board realize that this backorder is out of our control. Thanks again.
