Alright, long post but I have to vent..
Has anyone dealth with Atlantic Infiniti in Jacksonville? I found them to have THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I really do get better customer service when I pick up a six pack at the gas station next to my house. When I bought my car it didn't come with a manual. Before leaving the dealership with my car I told them I wanted a manual. My car was used (6,000 miles) and I was told by the salesman (actually the sales manager, no less) that he would call the owner and get me the manual. I wait three weeks - no call and no manual. I call Bob V and he says he will call the owner again and that he got no response from the owner. Waited two to three more weeks with no call or manual. I called Bob V again and he said he would call one last time to the owner, and if he didn't get through he would just send me a manual. A month goes by and still no call, still no manual. I call up and ask to talk to another manager because I really don't want to talk to Bob V again. I get a manager on the phone who I explain the problme to. No apologies, no "That shoudln't of happned". Just another manager telling me that he will have a manual mailed out to me in the next week. I didn't really want an apology, I just wanted my manual, so I waited. Another month goes by with no manual and no call. So today I call up and ask to talk to Bob V again. He said that the manuals are on backorder and he can't get one for me. I asked him why he didn't call me to tell me (I'm not unreasonable...if they are on backorder, they are on backorder, I would just like to know that) and he fumbles and bumbles and then says he thought he did call me (I have message machines both at home and work, and caller ID - he did NOT call me). Still no apology or anyting of the sort. Still says the manuals are on backorder, and tells me he will try and get one for me and if I don't hear back from him it means they are still on backorder. What kind of customer service is that? If I don't hear back from him it means it's still on backordrer?? I spent over $30k with his company and I can't even get a telephone call to tell me that it's still on backorder. So now I am pissed - I call Infiniti Consumer Affairs and talked to a sweet lady named Shinika. She listened to my problem, apologized, said that what the manager did wasn't right, and then offered to send me a manual that would arrive in the next week. SUCCESS! After all that trouble if I had just called Infiniti Consumer Affairs I would'nt have had to go so long without the manual to my car. I called Bob V back and told him to forget about my request because I had somehow aquired a manual where all his sources were backordered. What bullcrap..Makes me never want to buy an infiniti again - and over such a small issue. Do you guys think I am being an *** or did I have the right to get slightly upset at the situation. Thanks for letting me vent.

You're not the only one having problems with Atlantic Infiniti. Their service is terrible. I have problems with them everytime I take my car in for service., and we don't have any options in Jacksonville since they are the only dealer. I've had service guys tell me flat out, don't fill out the survey since you were unhappy with the service. I don't want to get into the problems I've had, as there have been quite a few. I'm considering driving out of town to have work done. You should post this in the local Florida post as well. I'm sure you'll get some serious hits.

I test drove a coupe in Tallahassee. When they wouldn't budge off MSRP, I called dealers in Atlanta as well as Atlantic Infiniti in JAX. The salesman at Atlantic acted like it was distasteful even to talk to me. They were off my list immediately.
Ended up buying at Prestige in Tallahassee. Still paid MSRP but at least they're a bunch of likeable goofballs.

That's too bad. Bob V took great care of me. You did the right thing though, you shouldn't have to put up with that.
On another note how is it we haven't heard from you two when we have meets but when there's a post complaining you can respond within an hour? I can't say I enjoy going to the dealership, that's why I do my own maintenance, but you can forget about all that at our meets. You'd be surprised at the little G family we have here in Jax as well as across the country.

On another note how is it we haven't heard from you two when we have meets but when there's a post complaining you can respond within an hour? I can't say I enjoy going to the dealership, that's why I do my own maintenance, but you can forget about all that at our meets. You'd be surprised at the little G family we have here in Jax as well as across the country.

I dealt with Mark at Atlantic Infiniti, Him and Rob Smullen seem to be cool guys.The guys there were extremely happy to see how well i keep the car for my age. I always talk with Rob about his STI whenever I'm there to try and pass time. Ive never really had any problems from there. I've learned to wash my car before I bring it in so I dont have to deal with the taking 45min to do half the job I do. Sorry you had such a bad expirence man!

Purchased my G used from Coggin Nissan although I looked at a black used model at Atlantic. I did do my service at Atlantic as they are very close to work. No compaints about the service dept.
Speaking of meets, I'm sure everyone went to the tuner bash because it was a solo adventure to the autocross this past sunday.

When I was looking to purchase my G35 last month, Atlantic Infiniti failed to follow up on my requests for additional information concerning two used coupes that were in their inventory. Nothing complex, just simple questions such as price and mileage. This lack of follow up may have cost them a sale as I ultimately purchased a new '04 coupe from Orlando Infiniti.

When i first went looking to purchase, the sales manager there was a complete a$$ to me. Don't know if he didnt take me seriously or what, but I was ready to write a check right then and there. I walked out after that. Prior to that, I talked w/ some other sales rep who said he was going to keep in touch w/ me when the new shipment came in, (was supposed to be about a week), and after a month he never called. B/c I was completely in love w/ this car, and I didn't want to deal w/ anybody else cuz I knew they weren't going to budge on price, I went back in a month later after reading online that they were to have a BS 6mt in a couple of weeks and talked to Bob V. I asked him if I could do a test drive, he gave me the keys to a sedan, and 20 minutes later, I put down a payment for a BS 6mt coupe =) Overall, they can suck a big one, but I am still a very very happy coupe owner!

I bought my car there and to sum thing up I woudnt buy another from them again...Bob V was an ok salesman I guess...I try to avoid them if I could though.

I just bought a 2004 G35c and before that I had a 2000 I30T that I bought from them also. Both times they wanted to sell the car and were all over me, off course they both times tried to just screw me with the trades. but each time, after an hour of back an forth. I got the deal I wanted. It just took some patience.
I have never had problem with there service dept. but the only thing that went wrong with the I30 in 120,000 was power seat motor died.
How old are the people that had real problems with them, that may play a part in it. If thats the case, its sad.

Unfortunately I think you might be right about the age thing. I'm not young at all, 29 when I bought, but I went in there wearing a sweatshirt, jean shorts, and Vans skateboarding shoes. I walked around the showroom for at least 10 minutes before someone spoke to me. There were 4 other salesman there giving me "the look". When Bob walked up and asked if he could help me I replied, "I need to order one of these." I saw 4 jaws hit the floor.

I can't argue with you guys regarding the sales side of Atlantic Infiniti. Personally I don't care for car salesman regardless but I seem to have pretty good luck with the rest of the dealership. I went in today to purchase a new rear Mt. Fuji and while I was there I asked about splash guards. Chris looked them up and quoted me 85.00/ set. I'm pretty sure everyone said Grubbs had the best price at 75/ set ? So I figure no extra shipping charge, plus I leave with them in my hands instead of waiting ! Not too shabby, I'm very pleased ! I expected the price to be closer to the 100 mark from the dealer.
