Atlantic Infiniti - Jacksonville Fl
Re: Atlantic Infiniti - Jacksonville Fl
I have to agree that this dealership sucks. I've had much better dealership service from both nissan and acura (the last 2 brands I've owned). I picked up my coupe in the beginning of September and the whole process was less than impressive. They didn't have a 6 speed coupe I could drive back in June of 2003, so I had to special order the vehicle I wanted and write a check for $1,000 for a deposit and pay full MSRP. Then when the vehicle came in and it was a 2004 instead of a 2003, so I had to pay another $300 for the newer model. The car also had a little scrape on the front bumper (which they repaired at no cost) but I had to bring it back in to get repaired. Plus, Bob V. and his buddies must have reminded me 10 times to make sure I give them 100% score on the dealer evaluation which was annoying. Maybe instead of bugging your customer to give you a 100% rating, you should just provide better service and let the cards fall where they may.
I've had 3 service appointments so far and their service department is poor as well. It took them about 2 hours to do my service at 7,500 miles and they promised it would only take an hour. I had to order some touch up paint (which cost like $8) and they made me pay for the paint in advance with my credit card over the phone before they could order it then when I came in to pick up the touch up paint, it took about 20 minutes for them to locate it. Finally, when I just brought in the car for an oil change at 11,500 miles, they tried to charge me $50. I told them that my oil change at 3,750 was only $30 and they stated that was a coupon price (despite the fact that I never had a coupon). I was convinced they were trying to charge me for some premium level service that I didn't want on the oil change, so I complained and they knocked it down to $30. Still, the fact that If I said nothing they would have overcharged me really makes me upset.
Infiniti tries to portray an image of nothing but the best for their customer, but the dealership attitude and services treats you more like you are trying to buy a used vehicle.
Just my $ .02.

Bring me oil and a filter and I'll change your oil for free. Or bring me your car and I'll change it for the price of the oil and filter and maybe a couple of dollars gas money.
The touch-up paint deal is strange. Their parts department has always been great for me.

Re: Atlantic Infiniti - Jacksonville Fl
Thanks for the offer, but I sort of like having the oil change done at the dealership so I can document that I've had all the changes done in their system. Plus the I like the "free" car wash (but I don't like it $55 worth).
Re: Atlantic Infiniti - Jacksonville Fl
Sounds like my experiance. I was 24 when I bought mine, and like you, I spent 30 minutes looking at the car in the showroom, and no one said a word!! Finally I had to go the front desk, and ask for some help so I could but the damn car. While my salesman was real nice (although he was "gone" within the following week), all the other salesmen were ******! Espcially the darker skinned fat guy. Those guys act like they are selling Ferrari's or something!
Re: Atlantic Infiniti - Jacksonville Fl
Well Atlantic Infiniti continues to take care of me. I'm scheduling the 15k service and while I'm at it I ask about the shift program upgrade. They initially ask if I'm having problems and if my check engine light is on, which it's not. According to them the upgrade is only supposed to be done if your check engine light is on and then the warranty will cover it. BUT.......
I'm then told that for a shop labor rate charge of one hour they will do it while they're doing the service which I thought was very cool ! I did lobby for you guys too and have been told to see how my upgrade goes before they commit to doing others ( makes sense, I guess ? ) . Please hold off on contacting them about this until I get mine done and I can make sure they're o.k. doing others (apparently the service manager wasn't working so I guess this is a covert move) which is happening tomorrow and I'll get back to them on monday to see if they'll do others for a charge. If your interested in the upgrade let me know and I'll let them know how many. Hopefully the $$ factor will persuade them to do this mod for us. Cross your fingers !!

Re: Atlantic Infiniti - Jacksonville Fl
I'm looking at buying a new G35 Coupe this fall.... I live near Jacksonville. I e-mailed a bunch of dealers (Atlantic Infiniti in Jax, Atlanta dealers, Orlando, Melbourne, and several others) with the car specs I want through the Infiniti website. I get an e-mail from Infiniti asking me if I was responded to by Atlantic Infiniti, and none of the others? Perhaps they are concerned with Atlantic Infiniti's service, or only asked about them because they are the closest dealer?
Re: Atlantic Infiniti - Jacksonville Fl
Probably a little of both. I had a good experience with them but I've heard the opposite from most.

I didn't buy my coupe from Atlantic Infiniti (I ended up buying my car from Infiniti of Orlando, great service by the way, at least in my case). I did however just get my first oil change about 2 weeks ago from Atlantic Infiniti and the service was good. Only down side was that I was told the cost would be $34 when I called, but ended up paying over $50. Other than that, the staff was pretty friendly.

...not the first time I have heard of that happening to someone. Hope to see you all at the <a href="https://g35driver.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=10&Number=265874&page=0&vi ew=collapsed&sb=5&part=">drive/meet on Saturday!</a>
Just FYI..... the last time i was in there 1 of the bolts and 1 of the clips for the undercover were NOT replaced on my car. It is understandable, mistakes happen, but still aggrivating. Just picked up replacements on my own.
