Question about our G's Exhaust

I'm new to the mod scene so I'm sorry for sounding like such a newb. My questions is I've heard people talking about the most restrictive part of our exhaust and heard various things. Some say our stock exhaust pipes are horrible some say they are fine. Some say the Y pipe is the worst some say it's fine. Other talk about cats. So, my questions is which is the weakest part of our STock G's Exhaust which would then be a good place to start to free up some things? Thanks again

I have Stillen's exhaust and eventually plan to add cats and headers... for me, that should be enough. There's lots of good info out here, you'll find enough to make a good decision.
