Crawford Cats... ?

I am looking at getting Crawford Cats for the G but I am wondering what the difference in sound will be? I still want my car to be a luxury coupe that is comfortable and somewhat quite until I unleash the 298hp's. I have a Injen Intake and I do not plan on getting an exhaust because I am happy with the note that the stock exhaust has.

My questions:

Will the Crawford Cats sound any different from stock under normal acceleration?

What kind of HP #'s are you guys getting from this? Do you think that they would take .1 - .2 off of the 1/4 mile?

Yes, your exhaust will be louder. I personally dont have mine on yet (arrive in the mail tomorrow), but I know for a fact that it will make it louder. I can give you a better answer in a bout 5 days, but then again I have the Stillen Cat-back exhause and headers going on next week as well.

Yes, your exhaust will be a little louder....but nothing obnoxious. My wife doesn't even know that I installed them. I notice a little more punch off the line. However, everything will be much stronger once I finish off the entire exhaust system. Right now, I only have the cats. I still need to buy a new y-pipe, headers and an exhaust system.

I'll say this though.....

I was at Grubbs Infiniti today. When I started my car, the service guy asked me what exhaust system I had. He seemed a little bit puzzled when I told him the exhaust was "stock".

So if i just get the crawford cats I am not going to feel to much more punch? I am excited to hear that the sound isn't much louder than stock.

Oh, you'll feel punch. Just not as good as if you re-did the whole exhaust system (headers and exhaust too).

Even if you don't plan on doing anything else, just replacing the cats is worth-while.

I have the crawford cats installed and a y-pipe, coupe mid-pipe, and it was well worth the money. Pulls strong and a nice deep tone.
