Finally got the Borla installed
Ok, Grubbs Infiniti installed my Borla exhaust today. Here's my opinion:
If it's true that this exhaust (like every other exhaust I gather) has somewhat of a break-in period.......look out! This exhaust, along with my Crawford cats, sounds unbelievable. Really. I'm extremely impressed.
When I start the car, it actually sounds more quiet than the stock exhaust (figure that one out). However, when I barely even hit the gas pedal, the car comes to life.....ALOT. I can't imagine picking any other exhaust, because this one is plenty loud. Plus, I prefer a throatier, deeper sound. To each his own I guess.
My only question is, what is the burning smell I am experiencing today? Whenever I really get on the car, it smell like the exhaust is burning something off. I'm assuming that this is a part of the exhaust "break in period".
Thoughts?

The Borla was easily my favourite mod on my Coupe, which my bro is now enjoying every day. (I have his Solara and a new M)
The burning smell is an oil based protective coating which burns off quickly and is nothing to worry about.
The relative quiet, until you hit it, was what I liked too, along with a great rumble that wasn't too intrusive.
Enjoy

You will have no backpressure problem with the high-flow cats. Now, test-pipes would be another story.
Now, I'm a big fan of the Crawford cats, but I wouldn't consider them cheap. I paid somewhere between $500-$600 for them.
However, they were well worth it.
The gains are real. Not neck-breaking speed, but definitely noticable.
