350z exhaust

My brother just put a Borla exhaust on his 350z and was going to give me his exhaust if I could find a way to make it fit on my G35X. I really like the sound of his. Is this possible? Thanks for any advice guys.

Yes, the 350Z is a tad bit shorter then the G35. The coupe I believe is roughly 9" longer then the Z. I know this because I had an APS 350Z exhaust custom fit to my car. I had them cut and weld the stainless because adding an extention wasn't feasable, so you may want to look in to the costs and benefits of both routes.

Sorry to disagree with everyone here, but it wont fit. The "Z" and the "G" have a dual outlet transerve muffler. No Go in the Sedan. You can, however, use the mid pipe, which will lower back pressure, reduce weight, and improve the power & sound of the sedan. The mid pipe should be a bolt on replacement for your current mid pipe.

Lou,

Do you think it would be possible to swap the mufflers out though? I would imagine that the hanging brackets would be similar, and I am under the impression he was the entire cat back exhaust? I guess one thing to consider is where the pipes come out of the lower bumper...

Well said, Lou. The 03-04 y-pipes are the same. The 05 y-pipes have a different part number. The midpipes differ by model and year. The Z and Coupe mufflers are essentually the same. The 2WD and AWD Sedan muffler's basic designs are the same with the 05's part numbers differing.

Not possible. The Sedan's spare tire well is in the way. I'm assuming other things as well, but I own a coupe so I can't tell you. Look under your car though and you'll see why it can't be done. Now, if you really want to change Borla and Stillen both make systems for the Sedan.
