yes its still street legal w/ the y-pipe it just replaces your stock y-pipe. it doesnt replace the cats, it just connects to them.

heres a pic of mine

Escobar - your setup

Sorry about the hijack, but escobar, how does your setup sound? I'm contemplating a very similar one and was curious as to whether or not you get any rasp with the cats. Also, under regular driving (not getting on it) and idle how does it sound? Is it really loud?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Ed

What he said. My only other performance mods are Nismo intake and it still sounds good. Now time to call Tom for the y-pipe.

escobar, would you suggest that I go for the Fuji y-pipe or Crawford cats next? I just installed my Fuji exhaust.

Sorry to thread jack.

hmmm, thats a tough choice, since they're both about the same price. i think i would go w/ cats. because the cats are the most restrictive part of our OEM exhaustm but i would do the y-pipe shortly after

In about a month I plan on going with the Fugi exhaust. I have read up on this exhaust a lot and by far it is the best quality for the best price. I noctice that the y-pipe is a little expesive. Anyone know if the Stillen y-pipe would fit? Reason for the Stillen y pipe is that it is exactly $200 cheaper. Thats a big deal for pay difference in piping.

I hate to **** on Stillens parade but I personally am not impressed with them so I would say go with the GruppeS y-pipe.

fuji is very very nice. much better than what i expected. most y pipes & cats designed for g35c are legal in most states, i heard. (50 states legal? right?) i love my setup : CAI, y pipe, crawford cat, & fuji. sound is awesome, (it doesnt sound like a v6 anymore!) and you definitely feel the gain. fuji is much quiter than i thought it would be, and almost no droning. i considered hks hi power exhaust, mostly bc it looks the coolest & from all the sound clips i heard, it sounded the best. i heard it is quite heavy, however, and i really dont want my car to get any heavier than it is now. (damn heavy car already!) i think i lost about good 30lbs. with my setup compared to stock. (those stock cats are friggin heavy!!!)

Your probably right, I am thinking that if I did go with the Fuji Y-pipe it woudl be worth it. It is stainless, Stillen is not. I will hvae to check into the GruppeS y-pipe too. I have awhile to think about this. Lastly, what do you guys think about getting the the exhaust then later on down the road get the Y and then get the cats. OR just save up and get them all at once? I would be sweet to install all of it in one day.
