Arrow Borla Exhaust Installed!

Finally got around of getting an exhaust after 2.5yrs of ownership. The Borla exhaust looks pretty sharp and yet conservative. I like the double walled design muffler tips and the suble Borla lettering on top.

My observations:

The car seems to run smoother across the rpm range. The 'studdering' I used to feel at parking lot manuvering speed is now gone. The car accelerates more effortlessly when pushed. It's surprising to me how the power band was smoothed out with the addition of this cat back.

I am not sure if the car is faster than before or not, but it's definitely deeper and louder. The Borla is quieter than stock at idle, but gets progressively louder as the tach climbs. By 4500rpm the volume gets pretty darn loud. The stock 'gurgle' is no longer present and the exhaust note is much deeper than before. It's a fairly good quality exhaust note, not farty or raspy by any means. Sounds more like a good old large displacement V8. The thing that bothers me most is the 1800-2400rpm drone you get when trying to accelerate slowly. I am missing the good old OEM exhaust already.

Congrats on the exhaust...even after 2.5 years! I know exactly how you feel, i will be hitting the 2 year mark in october and have been constantly debating whether i want to change out the exhaust for something that'll add more punch. But one thing i dont want to lose is the sound of the stock exhaust, especially around 2-4k rpms, its addicting....vvvvrrroooom....vrrrrrrrrrrrrrom.

Thumbs up

I just installed mine yesterday and it's great. Very quiet at idle like Sukairain said but as soon as you touch the gas it wakes up. Here's a video clip.

Where in FL are you? Perhaps you can come out to a meet so we can check it out.

Suki, please take some shots of your car with the Borla! No one is posting CB pics anymore these days
