I have a loaded 6sp coupe with an injen intake and need an exhaust. I want a loud sxhaust that makes good power. Let me know.

Tanabe is Loud But Why Buy an exhaust just for the Sound? The one's on the 350z Actually LOST POWER compared to stock. This was dyno proven. If you just want Loud Just do the Ghetto Performance Exhaust trick. Just drill a few holes in your stock Muffler. LOL

tanabe is loud but it sucks... you'll probably loose several ponies like Z driver's did...
Go for the Borla system.. Gives you an extra 20hp hehehe...

I'd recommend you look at Stillen's dual catback system for your coupe. It sounds great and added HP to the 350Zs. It's a true dual system from headpipes to mufflers. The headpipe's "X" section helps engine exhaust gas scavenging.
I've talked them into building a similar system for the G35 Sedans. It's been prototyped and shoud be dyno tested soon.
I'm hoping the system is available soon! We Sedan guys have to work had to keep up with the Coupes.

I have the Stillen exhaust and an Injen intake, I think that is a good combo. I haven't heard a Borla exhaust yet, but the price is quite a bit better than the Stillen. When I was at the STILLEN 350Z/G35 day, I posted the highest hp # for the G35's and only two Z's beat me out. One of them had the INJEN intake and their prototype dual exhaust. He wasn't any louder than my car and only pulled 2hp more than I did. The other guy had alot of extras on his car to pull like 15hp more. I'm happy with the STILLEN exhaust, but the other two are going to cost you less.

This woman I know had the injen intake and exhaust on her z. It didnt sound that impressive to me, nor did it feel any quicker than my g. Maybe it was my imagination, but my stock exhaust and intake sounded better. I want something that rumbles, puts out alot of horsepower, and is a big difference over stock. Why would i spend all that money if the sound and hp gains are minimal compared to stock. I had a tricked out show integra as my previous car, and I had a dcsports exhaust on it, and it wasnt loud at all either. I had to put a high flow cat on it to get it where i wanted. I dont want to do that again.

Is Borla's catback proyotype for the coupe a single muffler system?
The best HP gains I've seen for Borla's system are in the 8-10 HP range. Did I miss something?

I have a Borla "True-Dual" on my coupe as well as the Injen intake. In the beginning, the sound was almost stock-like but added a lower rumble to it. After I broke the exhaust in, the sound is definately louder than stock; sound is very clean though. And to answer the question about the muffler design, the true-duals on the Borla are two independent pipes leading into one muffler which crosses the air in a x-shaped fashion (I think) [compare this to Stillen's X-shaped pipes (?)].
Tomorrow I will go back to Borla in Oxnard to get some headers installed. Hope I get some good gains once I go for a dyno.

Doesn't your Borla Catback System incorporate a "H" section in the dual midpipe design? What is the purpose of this "H" section according to Borla?
By the way, I've previously owned several Borla catback systems. They were all expensive, but well worth the money in my opinion.
However, based on Borla's limited response to my four e-mails (starting last July), I may remain a previous customer... forever.
I can only assume Borla's not interested in building a catback system for the G35 Sedan and they must be too busy to tell me so!
