Hello all
Here is my final FI setup:
- Vortech SC
- APS tall boy plenum
- Fuji exhaust (76 mm piping with chambered muffler is sufficient unless someone says otherwise)
- Crawford high-flow cats (don't trust the test pipes)
I am still confused on what to do about the headers and the Y-pipe.
1) Y-pipe:
Fuji is 76.3 mm like the piping, but I wonder if all the "imitation" pipes like GruppeS, Intense, etc are basically the same pipe and I can just save money and get one of those. Then there is tanabe and JIC which I also wonder about.
2) Headers:
Stillens site says to contact them if their header is gonna go on a FI(SC) car. Dunno why they ask to contact them! Maybe they recommend something else. Seems like long tube headers are better ??? That points me towards crawfordz and pro1?
Anyone with experience, please advise! I am spending a chunk of change and don't want to make rash decisions!

I've made several posts in the FI section in the past few weeks about the benefits of my Crawford Headers and my Vortech combo. Basically I make about 16rwtq and 4rwhp more than g8tor20 (we both have Crawford cats and I have the plenum and headers on top of that along with the JIC Y-Pipe) plus I do all that at 1.5 psi of boost lower (9psi instead of 10.5psi). If I were to get the 2.87 pulley and up my boost levels to match g8tor20's, I'd say I'd probably get closer to 25-35rwhp more and ~30-40rwtq more than him. The Crawford products and FI really work! That's my experience and I cannot comment on other products...

def go w/ all crawford, for the reasons stated above. i went w/ the fuji y-pipe because i didnt wanna worry about having a less quality one, and i didnt mind spending the extra $$$. but all y-pipes are pretty much the same. if you get the crawford headers, cats and fuji exhaust ur gonna be very pleased. the sound is awsome, and the quality is exceptional.

escobar - I am in Iowa. No emissions laws whatsoever!
So, I could run catless if I wanted to, but want to avoid the smell and CEL issues. Also, most catless pipes like the helix hit the sedan floorboard, so I don't want to take a BFH to the car. Although, some people do say that the 03.5 will not throw a CEL.
Anyone know how I can contact helix directly? I want to know if they fixed the cat issue!
