There isbetter Exhaust out there then Borla. Borla is good one dont get me wrong but for the 350 it onlymakes somthing like 10 rwhp. The upcommin injen will give you 17rwhp and the stillin gives you 13 rwhp. I would not waste my time with a borla just me though.

Don't know, the buzz on the Borla is really good. They've quietly claimed it's getting 20 hp, and it's something like 27 pounds lighter than the Stillen exhaust. If you add in Borla's headers, the price will still be competitive with the others. Besides, it's an H-pipe, not a X-pipe, which has a different sound (could be better or worse). This exhaust is definitely the one that has me most intriqued.

I had called BORLA today to inquire about the dual exhaust for our G's. They said that they are working on one for the G, but won't be available for a couple of months. I'm thinking that I'm going to get the STILLEN though, even though it will cost much more. I don't like waiting, not even another month for the INJEN.

Patience grasshopper. Borla will be worth the wait. Thanks for calling, I'm getting one when they release it.

I dunno; I've had Borlas, plural, before. They're excellent.
rstark, I just sent Borla a little "love note" to inspire them forward with a system for our cars. Thanx for the link to sales.
JDMan, I'm not a wild man, but I tend to think that 20 hp at the rear wheels is a bit much and slightly overstated. Is this for the 350Z? Also, would it be correct that the "H" pipe design you mention is also for the 350Z? Stillen's system may be "weighty" since it's got two separate mufflers (or resonators) at the rear, plus two pipes coming back from the "X" under the car. If Borla's is 27 pounds lighter it must be due to less pipe and one less muffler/resonator---is that also a safe assumption? Thanx.
I'm just not into that "fast and furious" big, round garbage cans hanging down under the bumper and so loud that you can't hear anything at any speed above idle. Not me. Matter of fact, there's a bit of controversy on some of the other forums re the Stillen duals---some say loud at 2500 rpm, and others say quiet. Makes one think that I'd like to take a ride in one first before I plunk down my hard earned cash-o-rama-lama-ding-dong.
Me, I'd like to see NISMO's Weldina, since if someone should know how to improve the car, it should be them. Does anyone know when this NISMO group/division is finally gonna touch down in this country and offer some product? Whadda we gotta do, beg 'em to sell us some stuff? Really!

Thanks BONDg35! If anyone else is remotely interested in the Borla exhaust, please use the link above to email them to show them there are people interested in it.

Bond, the Borla is out for the 350Z right now and is retailing at around $700 in the online shops ($800 at borla). Finding pictures has been a pain, but in the one diagram of the Borla that I saw, it's basically two long, straight pipes that go all the way down the length of the car, then cross into a single muffler housing cat-back style. There's been some discussion of whether there's two separate chambers in the housing. I have no idea. It does have 2 centrally located resonators. Oh, the 350Z and G35 are both "X-pipe" exhausts stock, if I'm not mistaken. Borla is the only H-pipe I've heard of for the Z. A few people are making their own Y-pipes.
20 hp is indeed high. That's coming from the Borla guys. They're also the ones who claimed the weight difference (apparently the Stillen is heavier than stock by about the same amount as the Borla is lighter than stock). I figure the weight part is trustworthy because it's so easy to prove false. I'm not going to vouch for the hp, that's for the Z owners to do with dynos. Oh, finally, they said the Stillen costs the Z low end power. Take that for what it's worth from their direct competitors.
Anyway, at this point, it's probably worth the extra week or two to find out for sure, right?

Right now, according to posts on several 'Vette forums, LOTS of 'Vette owners are going with the B & B exhausts and getting great results from 'em (my cousin is 'Vette enthusiast and stays up on the 'Vette chatter).
B & B currently has an exhaust available for the G35 and Grubbs Infiniti has a *.wmv movie (with sound) on the website.

Sounds not tooo bad..
BUT
the sound of a borla super deep throaty tuned almost ferrari type sound is intoxicating...
gets right into me bones..
I'm gonna go borla if it comes..... hopefully with a nice polished subtle look
maybe we should try a group buy if they will do it ... or course when produced....
hmmm where is borla ...maybe I can prototype for them?
laterrr

They're in Cali (of course), Oxnard. I'm in on that group buy as soon as the Z guys give it their seal of approval. I like the deeper sound.

BORLA!!! JD, rstark and others, Dr Rick on 6mt.net has pics of install of Borla (true dual as he calls it) on a test G35 as of 5/28. Check it out! Apparently it's about 2 months off from mass production but the pics are great. Good for all of us to use as a contrast to the B&B and Stillen.
Thoughts on it?

That's actually a Z, but no less exciting. Well okay, quite a bit less exciting, but still encouraging. Word so far is that it's pretty loud, even at just 2000 rpms. Not sure I like that. Given a choice, I'd like my G to be able to tiptoe when I want it to. Hence my preference for turbo over supercharger. But I'll wait for a sound clip.

Loud? It's been my experience Borla's have been fairly quiet (compared to others), but yet a nice tone. Damn, I need a sound clip too.
