Re: Borla Exhaust System

I have the Stillen on my G35c. It is still too quiet for my taste. It kind of sounds like the big Japanese super bikes. What I do really like about it is that the mufflers are polished stainless steel. They look really nice from the rear shining like chrome. Most Borlas that I have seen use a dull finish.

Re: Borla Exhaust System

In my ideal world, my G's exhaust will thunder around 4000 rpms, but purr below that. I find that my AT will happily cruise below 4000 rpms at all times unless I demand more. A noise threshold at a certain rpm would mean I could control whether my G's a luxury car or a sports car with my right foot.

Re: Borla Exhaust System

Thought I'd pass this along. David Borla himself has posted over at the my350.com, G35 forum that they are working on a Borla exhaust for the G35. And are looking for a volunteer in the Oxnard area to help with testing in exchange for a free exhaust system. Here's a link, but you have to be registered to even view posts over there.

Thanks,

Re: Borla Exhaust System

Great find bro. I don't know why he's posting over there but here's a copy of one of David Borla's posts on My350Z dated May 30th:

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

We'd like to build a G35 dual exhaust. Problem is, we need a vehicle. Anyone in the L.A. area (Oxnard to be more specific) with a G35 that wants to help in exchange for a free Borla exhaust for their G35? We will treat your vehicle with the utmost care and respect. If you're interested email me at davidb@borla.com. Thanks

Re: Borla Exhaust System

Am I missing something?
The ongoing discussion of a Borla 350Z/G35c dual exhaust system seems to ignore the G35 sedan.
I sure hope Mr. Borla is including the sedan, as well as the coupe, in his plans.

He may be and I can't tell you off hand. There certainly is enough Sedans out there to justify it. He's probably focusing on the Z and the Coupe at the moment because of the similarities. I would think eventually that there will be one for the Sedan too.
Contact him and ask------ Don't forget to tell us what he says.

Re: Borla Exhaust System

If they make it for the Z is the same for the G. I have the stillen in my car and its from a Z with two 7" to 8" extension pipes in betwen the front X pipe and the rear section. No biggie, a would order a Borla Z exhaust for my G any time.
By the way, my coupe dyno at 234rwhp with injen CAI only and 249rwhp@6.18 with Injen + Stillen.(Dynojet-sea level-temp85-pump gas)
