Those of you with Crawford headers....
I can only say that mine are Jet Hot coated with Jet Hot Sterling. I was planning using the more expensive stuff, but Doug told me he recommended the Sterling. The turnaround time on the Sterling was only 2 days.
Any way, I can only say, Jet Hot did a great job coating them. There is a lot of heat in the engine compartment after the car is driven, and the stock heat shield from the stock manifolds are now gone. So I guess, IMO, the answer to your question, would be, Yes. I'm glad I did and I would do it again.
BTW, to save time, I had Crawford send them directly to Jet Hot to do the coating. That way, Crawford strips them, and doesn't Powder Coat them, and Jet Hot strips them again, so the bare metal is really smooth.

I would get them coated. Stockwise, the engine bay is hot enough as it is. Take off the heat shields and add aftermarket headers and it feels like a fiery furnace in there after a hard run. Besides with the jet hot sterling, the look so beautiful...
