Hello, I have searched and can't seem to find an answer to my question.
I am fairly new to G ownership and have been doing research on my future mods. Is it possible to just upgrade the stock mid-pipe to one that is less restrictive? I love the exhaust note of the stock G and was wondering if I could replace only the midpipe for a little power gain? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Japtrix makes a mid-pipe and a y-pipe. A reported gain of 11 hp for both. Cost is around $600 to $700 for both.

I personally would not do this mod b/c it is not cost effective. If you have done everything else, then maybe I say go ahead and do it.
