according to the email I received from Doug he hasn't heard of any CA guys failing emissions due to the HFC's (nor have I seen any postings of the same either here or on my350Z.com), however technically they are for off road only as stated above. If you are concerned about this just keep your OEM cats handy and swap them out before you go in for the test.

in my opinion,

if you spend 500 bucks on HFCs and they pass emissions then you just wasted 500 bucks!!!

Where are your dyno results (before and after) telling me how much power there is to be gained?

I don't care what you think you gain ... I'm interested in actual numbers.

im just wondering where you got your info

i was told i would get 6hp minimum

even if thats true..only 5hp...you have to squeeze out everything you can...

i dont have money to waste on dynos lol not until im all done with my mods at least

I remember seeing a post with a dyno in the past but I couldn't find it after quite a bit of searching so I made this:

http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.p...51#post3026651

I'm all set with spending $100+ per horsepower.

Slick,

Just got done searching over at 350Z.com

I tired to search on here, made a few threads, but it seems like most of the people on this forum are here for aesthetics, sound, etc....

Not really my cup of tea. I asked if the cats MAKE more power, and 75% of the responses I get are "they sound nice"....

YAY. Let me spend $ on sound....

So what are you trying to say? You just spent $500 for sound? You're not making much sense...

Not at all.

I bought the cats regardless. What I was saying is that I can't for the life of me get ANY empirical data regarding gains in the REAL WORLD. Manufacturers and websites make outlandish claims of 20rwhp, but NOT ONE person comes on the boards validating anything....

I just find that weird...
