Re: Weird post?

I have the injen intake on my 6spd and love it to death. never had a problem yet. car pulls harder than it ever did and sounds great. who puts their car in nuetral when going 80+mph.? why would you do that? that is bad for the car with or without an intake.

Re: Weird post?

Installed my Injen CAI two days ago. I have a 5AT Sedan and works great. The sound scared me when I first heard it but while passing left lane hoggers, it's music to my ears while telling them to get the *#$(*& out of the left lane. haha!!

It's still a G thang!!

ramo,
Yea, I considered trying to install the Intake w/out removing the Front Bumper. This actually took more time than just removing the Bumper. Its not as Big a deal as it sounds...

Re: Whats the Best Intake for a G35 coupe?????

do you have any good directions on how to take off the bumper? the directions that came with the intake aren't the best in detail? thanks for your help

For my sedan, I turned the wheel all the way to the right, took off 3 of those plastic plugs, and screws at the bottom of the bumper and was able to fit the filter in and attach it to the pipe. Pretty simple. I didn't bother taking off the bumper.

I would not mind seeing pics.

Now if I get the 350Z intake willl that also cause the problem of tq loss on lower hp? Will it also mess up my engine?

I think what drove me away from the Injen CAI before my friend had gotten into the accident caused by it, was cleaning the Injen CAI filter when it is dirty. You would have to remove the bumper to clean it, and since the filter is practically exposed to the road, it gets dirty quiet often.... what a PAIN IN THE A$$!!!

Re: Whats the Best Intake for a G35 coupe?????

You dont even have to remove the bumper to install it so how is this possible? You want colder air - you need to reach below the top of the engine comparment. My car goes up on a rack to have oil changed and the guys cleans it for me..in fact same guy that installed it for me. no charge for add'l work over cost of oil and filter change....mods typically dont come maint free...the more you play the more you pay with time and money. You want life easy - stick with mods to ecu.

PS mine stalled when i put accidentally put it in N at 90 or so and lost power,,,thank god i realized what happened as I was headed for a barrier wall and put it in gear. I have auto. So now i dont put it in N anymore and no problems since...and i love the looks i get from the maximas i blow by all day.
