One word of advice, do not get the Injen CAI. They've already had 3 revisions of thier CAI, but still having problem when going over 85MPH and put in neutral. IT WILL STALL!!! This only applies to the 6MT version. ALL 6MT INJEN CAI have bugs which they claimed fixed but actually just fixed from going abou 80MPH STALL, now they fixed to 85MPH STALL.
BUT IT STILL STALLS. Everyone I had spoken with with a 6MT Injen CAI even one guy who just purchased one 2 days ago direct from Injen Pomona is having the same problem. I recommend getting the Blitz filter or Stillen filter!

We actually have an Infiniti Cold Air Intake on our G35s.
Stillen and Injen claim to make a CAI that produces
more hp that the stock one. Stillen claims 11hp and no
reported problems with them. Injen has the stalling problem.
Make an educated purchase. I plan on purchasing the Stillen
next month. Stillen has a great reputation IMHO.

splashguards, GG red 7 wire Hypergrounding kit, 350Z intake duct(soon), K&N filter.

Stillen claims their air intake (FAI?) adds 11 HP for the Sedan and 5 HP for the Coupe.
It also looks like Stillen's dual catback exhaust will produce more HP for the Sedan than it does for the Coupe. If you look at the difference in the stock exhaust system, it makes sense.

Re: Whats the Best Intake for a G35 coupe?????
funny u mention that, i emailed injen yesterday and expressed my concerns about what we've been hearing and they said "The problem has been eliminated and it was only occuring on a very few
G35's. As long as you purchase the part # RD1992 you should be fine."
i know it makes more hp than the stillen but safety is number 1 in my books

Keep in mind that CAI's will increase HP, but may decrease torque, especially on the low-end. Evidentially, low-end torque is helped with a little backpressue from the intake (stock one) and the exhaust (which is why the stock exhaust has a two stage valve--one value closes during low RPMs to help create a little backpressue to increase low-end torque).
I bought a K&N drop in filter, and waiting for a good ECM to help adjust for the more efficient flow characteristics.

Thanks guys for all your info, One thing I might of not mention is that I have an auto coupe, so does the stalling still imply to my car? Before I was thinking about getting the injen RD intake for around $250, is that a good deal? - Daniel

i also put in a K&N drop in, maybe its me but i feel that the car is sluggish, gas pedal feels heavier.

Hi Bigsmasher,
I don't think you'd be disappointed with the Ingen Intake.
I've had mine for a while now, no problems & I have the 6mt.
Of course I don't make it a habit of shifting my car into Neutral
at 80-85 mph. You gotta Love the sound, especially coupled w/ the Stillen Dual Catbacks...
Just get all the Info you can on Good Forums like this, & go with what does it for YOU. Thats what I try to do...
Take Care,
Rick
