Exhaust System

I was talking to my friend today about exhaust systems and how I want one for my G but i dont want to spend 1500 dollars on one, and then he said to go to Muffler King where he got his done (on a civic though). I went there to talk to the guy and he said that our cars have a valve thing in the exhaust to keep it quiet at low rpm, but louder at high rpm. He said to get that aggressive sound that I he would just put magnaflow mufflers on (500$). Does anyone have any ideas about this?

c'mon now...... do you really have to ask this question? You take your pick up truck to a shop like that, not your INFINITI G35!! Just save a little cash and get something in the $600-$800 range. You'll hate yourself if you dont.

What is a "mean" sounding exhaust in the 600-800 dollar range

I've been doing my homework on exausts and- Unless your F/I and need the preformence- I would highly suggest you go with test pipes if you like that sounds, or some Hi-flow cats if you just want that 'meaner' sound.

Exausts sound to much like stock, and our stock exaust is very nice. It is no where near the value of the cost IMHO.

thats actually what i plan on doing. I like the stock note, i just want it louder. I think i wanna get some cat-less pipes, but ive heard that i should save up and get the crawford hi flow pipes. Ive been told that the cat-less have a really crappy droan sound at cruising speeds, but i dont know if they mean it sounds that way with the stock or aftermarket exhaust.
