I have a question about this setup too...

will it be enough to support a vortech setup or would i need something with bigger piping?

well the piping on the Fujitsubo exhaust is 76mm (3"). i would think with a good set of headers and either the high flows or test pipes, you should be just fine for the Vortech.

perhaps some of the F/I gurus would chime in?

Wow great job man, THanks alot. So did you notice any performance gains with the addition of the cats, ypipe and exhaust?? or it was strictly sound?? I wonder if gettin a borla exhaust instead of fuji and with the same setup would be lower or louder in noise.

did i feel a gain? yes i did. however, i will not post definitively until i get the car dyno'ed again... last time she got strapped on a dyno things were alittle screwy... it only turned like 230hp (granted it's a 5AT but still, that's aweful low). this was extremely surprising to me as the car definitely feels quicker than stock. my AFR was alittle wonky though, so that might be the reason for the low numbers

do you happen to know the diameter of the piping on the Megan pipe? Fujitsubo midpipe (where it meets the y-pipe) is 76mm, 3". i got the Fuji Y-pipe b/c it looked very well put together, has a balance tube between the 2 long runners, and had one of the largest exit diameters (76mm).

that being said... any Y-pipe is basically the same... just a set of stainless steel tubes. i'm sure the Megan will be fine (assuming you're not FI or something where MAXIMUM flow is critical). just make sure the welds are quality as i've heard some ebay knockoff Y-pipes can crack where the flanges are welded on
