I had my Injen SES for over 10 months with no rusting issues at all. My exhaust looked like new (with a little rubbing) when I sold it.

IMO - It's one of the best looking exhaust on the market. It's one the loudest exhaust, and with high flow cats & headers - way too loud for my taste. You might like that. I even installed a H-pipe & two Magnaflow 22" resonator pipes replacing the Injen ones, but still too loud for me. The H -pipe & Magnaflows really reduced the freeway droning. The Injen is a true dual system, which I found provided some nice top end HP, but there's a loss in low end torque.

Thus, I went back to my oem muffler and a Tanabe Y-pipe. The sound level is slightly louder than stock with some good low end torque.

IMO - HKS, Fuji + Y pipe or Tanabe SMH + Y pipe. If you're insterested in the Tanabe, I can send you a video/sound clip.

I am rarely ever in the exhaust forum but here is my take on the Ses.

I have had my Injen Ses for almost a year with no problems at all. It gets pretty loud at certain rpms in the cabin. It doesn't bother me because I listen to my music pretty loud also.

I would say that if you have a job where you need to hold a conversation with someone important in the passenger seat then this is not the exhaust for you!

I have also noticed that the exhaust sounds completely different from the outside then it does while driving. I liked it a lot, a very different note from most exhaust i've heard. Very deep and throaty!

No sound clips sorry!

I have had the injen for a few months now and i love it! i cant wait to start my car and listen to the beautiful exhaust note the headers and high flow cats add to the sound.......yes there is droning at around 1500-2000 rpms..but i like it most of the time .......i love the powerful sound and the vibration......and when i dont want to hear it, just downshift and the sound goes away.......and no rust here either.....nice and shiney

when your ready to install the exhaust here are a few tips....

install the entire assembly without tightening the fasteners (i used new gaskets to minimize the chance of leaks)

the pipes will rest on top of the cross member at this point

shove a spacer (i used a 1-1/2 diameter pipe) between the exhaust pipes and the cross member before tightening the fasteners

during the tightening process, start from the front of the car and work back while you work the pipes upward as much as possible

remove the spacer

this process will keep the pipes from settling on top of the cross member and creating a vibration through the car. you may have to repeat this process if you feel a vibration (metal against metal)

x-mas gift for the G

Hey I'm also thinking for cat back system for x-mas. However it must be a true dual like the injen, but without sacrificing much torque. I right now have on test-pipe cat delete with a Injen CAI, but as always i want more. After speding hours of reading on this forum i found out that the injen sounds sweet and looks great, but im a bit scare of the fiberglass issue. I would hate to have that problem, therefore i dont think im gonna go with injen. Any suggestions on a true dual that sounds and looks like the injen besides HKS, i heard the pro-1 on a sound clip but i wasnt to please. Also any ideas where we can get an exhaust at a decent price, if possible a used on in good condition i would consider too. Thanks guys....

it's not like stock at all..just cuz its quieter than other aftermarket doesnt mean its like stock. i have it and it looks very nice. its well built, definitely a quality exhaust (ie welding job is one of the best - compared to oh lets say the HKS) ...fitment is nearly perfect..and as for sound..it is less agressive than many exhaust but hey thats personal preferance. i like the smooth tone of the FUJI...
