Question about Exhaust installs.

I am thinking about getting the Stillen or the HKS Hi-power systems. These systems include everything behind of the cats, do I need to get a new y-pipe, cats, headers etc.? or maybe I'm reading it wrong and getting more than i think? Also will either of those systems give a cop reason to pull me over?

Ok, so I don't have to worry about the other stuff, will these exhausts be sufficient should I want to add an APS or Turbonetics Turbo kit in the future?

I believe both are under the maximum DB reading that can get you a ticket...

The HKS Hi-Power exhaust has two resonators, which limit the sound produced to 95db . . . I think . . . And that is the legal sound limit . . . I think.

What about having cats and headers...It's already pretty loud overstock... I have cats and soon to get headers but which exhaust will create the most torque?

your best NA power added with be a system that uses a Y-pipe vs. dual exhaust...those systems include Stillen, Fujisubo(sp?), etc.

In the latest exhaust shoot-out from Sport Z Magazine, the Stillen performed the best, but it also weighs 20 lbs heavier than stock.

I am curious as to the db level of the stock sedan exhaust. I know 95 db is the legal limit but I am curious as to what stock is and what I might be adding for noise going to the newer stillen sedan exhaust. I hate like hell having to drive at 75 and having a drone sound or draw too much attention.

The Fuji exhaust weighs 35 pounds and the JIC Y Pipe weighs 11 pounds. That's my setup. 46 pounds total compared to stock of 70lbs.

Out of curiosity are you researching a G35 Sedan or Coupe exhaust system?

Im not sure when the FUJI will come in. It's an oversized box and takes longer to ship. I just took that weight measurement of the exhaust off the website. I weighed the Y pipe myself.
