Serious Question when Selecting Exhaust??? HELP!

With all the cat-back options out there not to mention personal opinions, this all gets very overwhelming very quickly. Is it true that some exhaust setups work better with a stock G35 and some work better with a FI setup? If so, I am looking to start small but don't want to dead-end my selection. I would like to start with a Kinetix IM with COI. Add an exhaust setup next. Sometime down the road I might go FI but don't want to spend $2000 on an exahust setup not suited for it. So, with that said, What is the best initial setup (Exhaust/test pipe/y-pipe/cats/headers/etc..) that won't need to be replaced once and if I go FI?

Currently I have a 04 6mt, I am putting together a list of mods I would like to go with. I like the Kinetix Intake Manifold with some type of CAI for starters.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Depends on what kind of fi you are going to go with. currently the two single turbo options will NOT work with any of the true dual setups or any y-pipe for that matter.

Well, with a vortec your options are enless in regards to exhaust. Some guys were running Greddy, Injen, even stock exhausts. I don't think that there are any material power gains between the different true dual setups. I wouldn't know about a 2-1-2 or sinlge exhausts though. Check what guys on the FI section are running.

I don't know if the Kinetix Plenium and this Kinetix Intake Manifold are one the same, but this is the Manifold I was refering to. Yes, this is a 350Z, but doesn't it fit the G35?
