Aem is a so-so intake and Injen is supposed to be 10x better in terms of gains.. IF you are looking for sound and do not want an extended piping system...i would recommend the JWT popcharger i have one and loveeeee the sound 4K +RPMs . Where are you jnkirk? back me up!

does it matter if you have an AT or Manual when picking out a CAI? EX: Does Injen make a CAI for an AT and a Manual or does the same one work for both?

Injen CAI provides practically no improvement. Stillen high-flow airbox seems to be a favorite on this forum. Same goes for JWT pop-charger - a lot of folks have it (i used to). then, there is the Z-tube - intake tube from 350Z - increases diameter of the intake and scraps the resonator.

i personally have 3.5" Weapon-R Secret Weapon intake - and i absolutely love it. it looks awesome, and provides improvement over such venerable combinations as JWT pop-charger + Z-tube.
