New plenum, same engine cover?

I tried to put my engine cover back on but it won't work at all. Like the other guys said, you don't open your hood very often so it's not like it matters. But to each his own.

I took my cover off, as well. I'll only put in back on when I take my G in for service.

I just installed my Skunk2 plenum spacer which is 5/8" (thicker than 1/2" for you people that are not good with math). My engine cover still fits.. I just can't screw in the back 2 screws but it works. My friend's engine cover fits as well and he has a 1/2" MD spacer.

..but since you have the Kinetix, I don't think it'll fit.

I'd remove the engine cover, even if it fit with whatever plenum/spacer you go with. It traps heat. On my last car, a 2K2 Maxima, someone tested ambient temperatures in various areas of the engine bay at idle, and under load. Results showed temps were lower without the engine cover...
