Well guys, I am in the market for an exhaust. I am trying to decide between the HKS Hi-power, and the Injen SES straight tip. Now, I know about the reviews of the HKS and how great it is. The only thing is, the HKS is so expeneive, I was just wondering if a Cat-Back is really worth the money, where the Injen is much less. I am also going with Motordyne MREV and JWT pop charger. Basicaly, is the HKS hi-power woth the money, $1600 seems like a lot for just a Cat Back, or should I opt with the Injen. I love the sounds of the HKS.

yea its worth the money, and you can get it cheaper than 1600, but its not worth the wait (in my opinion)

 

actually I was going to buy one off of ebay, they have it in stock. I wont be installing it for a few months so I can wait, where is the cheapest place to find it? I cant find it under 1500 anywhere?

I think it is worth it. It's all personal perception with regard to the value of any products. I, like the poster above, got in on a group buy for $1300 shipped. It was a no brainer, at that point. My wait has been considerably less than most.

 

they don't have it. I asked the guy before and he said it's on the way. But maybe if you are a lucky guy he have them right now so try to ask him. coz i tried before you to buy one. finally i went with the injen ses.

 

i'm with you it's not worth the wait. it's an exhaust, the HKS won't give you more HP.

 

Interesting comment as I have been trying to research available cat-back systems> I hope some of you will help me.
First off I findthe sound clips confusing. Interesting buthard to compare (IMO) with condtions,test metods and recording variances. With that said it SEEMS the HKS system sounds deeper/throatier,,,,,,,,,, Comments oHKS sounds. appreciated. Finally it would seem the Stillen offers he most impessive HP gains but it sounds "ricey" to me with that popping I've heard whe motor is reved then backed-off of. That sound seems prevelent (the pop,pop,pop) TO ME im most after market set-ups and I thik it sounds CHEAP ! Sooooo, I don't seem to hear that in HKS but I'd miss the HP gains,correct?
Please, comment on my observations of te two systems and n particular if there are any published performance tests of the HKS. Thanks, any help will be really appreciated!
