Re: New intake available .... non-cold air

This isn't my car, but I'm putting the 2nd prototype on my car tonight. The car belongs to a friend John, who owns the manufacturing company that makes these. If it fits well on my car, production will start on these. Other mods on his car include the oil catch can, and the prototype engine torque brace on the left side.

Moog,
We appreciate the update, really. But the owners of this site would rather we not openly solicit for business if not a Sponsor. These Sponsors are allowed on a case by case basis by Godzilla, and you can PM him or call him. Thanks for understanding.

If it becomes popular, i'll talk to him to see if he would be interested in sponsoring the site so he can market the product. Doesn't really matter to me either way...i get a free intake =)

You just need to make the Piping to fit into the stock CAI box. That way, many of us can have polished pipes with our Stillen or Blitz intakes.

Hey Moog, What are the 2 items I circled above? The one on the left looks like a dampener of some sort. Have no idea about the one on the right. Looks interesting. Any dyno data on the intake? Nice setup.

Re: New intake available .... non-cold air

The brace on the left is there to help stabilize the motor under hard acceleration and shifting. What you see is just a prototype fitted from an RX-7. They're still working out the final g35/350z version right now. From what John tells me it's pretty noticeable.

Oil catch can on the right...goes in between the crankcase breather tube and intake tube....pretty much filters the blow by from your engine, so that oil will not re-enter the intake system. Less oil in the intake = cleaner manifold/valves. Used primarily in forced induction applications, where blow by is more readily apparent. Looks pretty darn nice too...comes in anodized blue and anodized red as well.

No dyno numbers yet...i just finished installing the intake a couple hours ago. Engine revs a lot quicker, and sounds pretty mean at WOT.
