MREV: BEST THING EVER, a MUST for 05 6MT

I know other people have made threads about this, but I'm so excited and has a good experience so I thought it wouldnt hurt to provide some more insight on a new product.
Well guys, I just installed my Copper MREV Plus. The install wasnt too difficult. This was the first time ive ever done work on a car that exceeded swapping out my summer and winter wheels. I ran into a few bumps on the way: there was 1 plastic piece that goes under the upper plenum missing, and a bolt broke while I was bolting down the intake manafold gasket. I gave Tony a few quick calls, he was extremely helpful and very knowladgeable. A++ for the service and support, and relative ease of installation!

Well I have to say THIS WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. The install only took me 3 hours, and I'm a novice. I went for a drive afterwards, and MY GOD what a HUGE difference. Throughout the entire RPM range I can feel more power. It sounds so awesome above 3000 RPM its unbeleivable. Anyone with the REVUP engine this mod is a MUST!!!! The car feels so much better to drive, even low end and shifting seemed so much easier. The roads were a little bit wet tonight, and I started spinning them at 5-5.5 K in 1st, spun most of the way thru second after the shift, and spun for a few seconds going into third. My tires had never even chirped before going into third. This is an EXCELLENT product....cant wait to get the headers and high flow cats on now, will be even better! Amazing product.

I have been smiling all night...non stop. THANK YOU TONY

Motordyne Engineering MREV. It's an upgraded lower plenum, essentially. I got the copper throttle body heater too which helps. It can be found here:http://www.motordyneengineering.com/G35.asp under MREV. I got the Copper ISO MREV Plus.

is the MREV needed for AT coupes?...or is just a MD spacer fine for us ATers?

Will the addition of just a spacer, like the MD 5/16th, increase the sound?

The MREV is designed to only work with the REVUP engine (only on 6MT cars), so it would be useless for an AT car. For the AT, I would recommend just a regular 5/16" or 1/2" spacer. I have no experience with the 5/16" spacer on an auto, but my guess is it would certainly increase induction noise.

I agree. MREV should be required for all 05 6mt. I recently gave a friend a ride in my car and he noticed the extra power before I told him I had made a change.

The MREV will not work with an 04 6MT, simply due to the fact that it was designed for the revup engine (298 HP, 6900 redline) that comes on the 05 6MT, but not before that. For 04 6MT I would recommend a 1/2" spacer, it seems to work out well for most other people. If you do a search you will find lots of reviews.

Remember, you 04 6MT guys got the brembos, you cant have everything

Sorry to hi-jack, but for the regular spacers with copper iso thermal, they should only be used for area's where it gets cold?
