Most NA Horsepower

Howdy,
I'm a V35 Skyline 350GT Owner from Perth Western Australia.
I've investigated all the forced induction options - but I'd really like to stay NA. Not interested in cracking the motor open or Nitrous. My Skyline is Auto and will be a daily driver and not competitively drifted or dragged. I've ordered a set of Tein Super Street Coilovers and Whiteline Sway Bars and it will be rolling on a set of Jaz 20s with a Burnout Carbon Kit.
Just wondering if anyone has any dyno figures from a G35 thats had all the NA Mods Done? Filter, inlet, upper and lower manifolds, spacers, extractors, full exhaust, cams, ECU, Throttle Body. Will be running it on an E-Manage Ultimate.
I've had a search and not really found anything.
And yes I'm fully aware of the benefits of forced induction on a VQ. But my Skyline is staying NA.

I've decided to stay NA as well. For tuning, I think UTEC would be better choice as it's the next closest thing to standalone. Everyone's having a good result with it. If you are interested, go do a search on my350z.com.

I think with such mods and tuning, one could expect 270-280rwhp or maybe more... That's just my rough estimate.

Thanks for the heads up on the UTEC - Will check it out.
Yeah I was thinking 270-280rwhp.

You'll probably get around 270ish RWHP. Remember to also get High flow cats or Test Pipes and a good tune. Also since you have a auto, you might want to look into some gears such as the 3.5 final drive thats stock to all the manuals. The gears will make your car alot zippier.

I will be able to give you exact numbers next week. I have the Crawford cats, K&N, carbon Z-tube, Spacer, Grounding and will be getting the re-flash next Tuesday to optimize the engine management for all the mods (for the Euro 98 Oct gas, however). I hope it will be worth it. If I don't reach 300hp crank than I'm ordering Vortech still the same day

Gaaaar - I'm thinking 3.7 or 3.9 for the rear end.
Eddie - Which Carbon Z Tube and K&N are you running?

if you can't gain +20hp from some exhaust work, intake and plenum mods and tune, i think you need to shoot yourself and your tuner

The most NA horsepower will come from increased displacement, I know its expensive, but that 4.3L stroker kit will yield the most NA gain for the buck. Or spend $6k on bolt ons and gain 30HP. I know its hard, but save all that money, and in a year or so you can probably buy a stoker kit for cash. If you can pull the engine yourself, all you have to do in bring the long block to a good engine shop to get it installed for less $ than you think.

BTW, not flaming the bolt on mods, this is just what I plan to do with my 05 6mt.

Aman - I'm aware of the power of the stroker - I run a 2.1 in my S15. But the Skyline isnt requiring that kind of grunt. I'll be happy with 270-280rwhp.
Best part is the UTEC is made in Australia - I can pick it up direct from Turbo XS...

For idiots like me, can someone explain what a stroker kit does and where you can get one?

also take anything you might not need out of your car. sacrifice your back seat for example... a lot of carpeting comes in the trunk. get lightweight 17s. it'll all make your car feel faster.

a stroker kit increases the engine displacement. taller crank, uaully 2-4 mm longer stroke, of course then u have to either get shorter rods or raise the piston pin inside the piston. lowers your peak rpm, but makes amazing power. works great with FI or boreing. the kit can be quite expensive. but if you dont want to spend a lot on a kit, u can just get a taller crank and shorter rods and just keep the pistons and rings. it would be a lot smarter just to stick with a kit if youve never done it though.

a stroker kit with boost will be very expensive $30K or so, but easily create 1000hp+. AEBS makes a stroker kit that makes 4.3L displacement for $8K and JUN makes one that has 3.8L displacement for $12K. JUN has had a lot more experience with the stroker kit, which is why its so much more expensive.
