I ordered a set of Alphawerks headers and received them today. They come with no bolts, nuts or gaskets and no instructions. What the hell kind of company gives no instructions? I'm thinking I should have gone with Crawford to begin with.

what do you need instructions for? remove stuff in engine, remove cats and stuff under car, unbolt and bolt in

True, true. I just thought the package would have something besides just the headers. Of course the headers is what I wanted. Oh, well.

hehe...another plug for Strup! They're nicely made and comes with instructions and new nuts. you'd still have to reuse the factory gaskets.

Well since you dont have instructions here's a few points.
Remove the entire intake system and remove the powersteering resivoir bracket to allow for room to work a top the engine bay. Under the car, you'll need a crayon or white out to mark the steering knuckle so that you can align them back together. The Strup instructions say NOT to remove the knuckle from the spline, It's totally up to you how you want to maneuver things...I removed it totally and marked the knuckle intensively so that I know where things line up. Getting to the front most nut on the passenger side required disconnecting the alternator wires and one of the wire brackets to give clearance to remove the nut. You'd have to work your magic from under the car to get to that nut. I believe the nuts have to be torqued down at 25inch-lbs..or was it 25ft-lbs? I forget maybe someone else can chime on in that.

wats wrong with reusing the stock one??? Its just bolts and gasket, lol. I have alpha headers and I dont have any issues with them.

I was also a bit confused when I didnt see any nuts or bolts, but geez relax bro, Its not the end of the world. After hounding their Customer Service dept. I found out they do use the stock mounting stuff. And chances are if you need a instruction manual on how to install headers, you probably should not/ can not install them on your own.

reuse as much stock stuff as you can. Unless you wanna buy locking header bolts, but just put a dab of loctite. You may want to buy new header gaskets from infiniti if your stock ones are old(not sure how many miles you have on your car) Good luck, install is straightforward, out with old in with new. Expect at least 6hrs of work.

As I can see from yours and others post, what I got from Alphawerks was excactly what I was supposed to get. By the way, I'm definitely not going to install these headers myself, a buddy of mine who installed my cats and exhaust is doing the install. Not that I can't figure it out, it's just more work than what I want to get myself into. I can't wait to feel the power these babies are going to add.
