Hey guys, I just got my HKS hi power exhaust installed at Creative Autoworks in San Diego. The wait was LONG, but now all I can say is WOW!!!

I am not sure if there is much more to be said about this exhaust that hasn’t been already said in other threads. The sound it produces is just stunning! Very quiet at cruising speeds and at idle, but it totally screams when you open her up. The high quality sound clips posted recently is fairly representative of the tone, but its SO much meaner in person. I have heard nearly all of the more common exhausts available and in my humble opinion HKS by far produces the best tone. I hope all the HKS haters get a chance to hear this system in person. It really is amazing.

I will post pics of it eventually, but no camera till monday. For now, I have no comment on the power. I haven’t had a chance to really do some spirited driving since I still have my stock system sloshing around in the back.

So far this exhaust is definitely worth every penny. You really do get the feeling that you are paying for high quality once you see and hear it all in person. I would also like to thank James at Creative for setting up the gb and also being patient with my constant nagging! You are awsome! For all those others still waiting for theirs to arrive, I am sure you will find the wait well worth it!

Overall satisfaction is at an all time high!

Excellent! Glad you are enjoying your new HKS. You were able to store your complete OEM exhaust in your G for the ride home? Now, I really can't wait to receive mine.

 

yup, you gotta take the back seat down. slide the y pipe in backwards, slide the muffler in through one of the doors and keep it to one side. then you can slide the mid pipe in. i advise you bring some tape and large trash bags to wrap the pieces in so they dont get debris everywhere.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll bring some furniture blankets, as well. This was one of my concerns with regard to whether or not I needed a second vehicle. Hey, enjoy the weekend end and be sure your gas tank is filled up . . . Sounds like you're goona need it.

 

you know..in the videos, sometimes it can sound a little raspy...can u honestly say that it doesn't sound like that in person?

 

so you drove from la to sd? I'm heading over there on the 20th to get mine installed as well

 

TomOD - honestly, there is no rasp, unless you think ferarris rasp! it really sounds like an exotic!

Lazee - yeah i made the drive for the exhaust and i decided to crash at a friends since its superbowl weekend.

Got mine installed last Friday. I was gone all weekend. So, I didn't really have a chance to check it out until today. This exhaust is absolutely awesome!
