Coupe Y-pipe of my '04 G35X

I just got my coupe midpipe installed today on my '04 G35X and I'm really pleased with it. The dealership where I bought it also had several coupe Y-pipes they want to move.

Can someone please tell me what I would gain (ie, sound or power) by installing the coupe Y-pipe? It looked identical to the one on my car but I understand it is somehow different? I don't want a full cat-back (I've got 3 kids in private school!) so I'd rather piece-meal my mods.

I suspect this topic may have been addressed somewhere previously, but to be honest I've spent countless hours this week searching on various stuff and it is sooo time-consuming ... most answers to exhaust questions relate to multiple parts whereas I'm only interested in the impact of the Y-pipe .... thanks in advance.

Geez, I just found a thread where they stated there is absolutely no difference in the two Y-pipes on my sedan and the coupe. That being the case, what would I gain from going aftermarket for a Y-pipe (if anything) and what specific pipe would y'all point me toward? Thanks!

Stan,

I haven't seen any dyno data on this site or my350Z.com suggesting that aftermarket y-pipes do anything other than add some undercar bling. Lots of butt dynos say there are gains, but nothing in the way of hard data.

I already mentioned I've spent countless hours searching already this week - why do feel compelled to tell me to search some more? Why don't you just not reply? You can search on "Y-pipes" and go a hundred different directions with the threads.
