Does anyone else who has the Stillen Exhaust on thier coupe have a rattle at certain RPM's including idle? My search turned up nothing. I think it's hitting the cross brace as any other area (sway bar, etc) seems to have plenty of clearance.

If you have had a rattle, please let me know how you fixed it. Was it an adjustment of the exhaust or something else. I don't want to use header wrap as I think it would only be a temp fix until that chafes.

 

had my stillen for 10K.....no rattles at all..... check if all the bolts are on tight.....

 

yo diesel - i had the same problem when i got mine, only it was rattling when it was cold. I took it back and had Sam look at it. they let it sit over night to cool as they thought a weld busted on one of the sound bafflings. turns out it was a bent cross member - they were nice enough to fix it at no charge. imo, they should have caught it during the install, but i'm happy they took care of it regardless.

Thanx guys. When I bring my G in for the suspension and rear camber rods etc, i'll have the place check it out and see what's going on back there.

Yeah apparently this happens on many Stillen TD's. I actually brought my G in to MRC Saturday for suspension, sway, & JWT clutch n fly. When they put everything back together, they actually noticed it was rubbing on the cross brace I belive and just needed to be shimmed. I didn't even ask them to fix it...I totally forgot, but they did it anyway! Ahhhh feels actually sounds so much better now! I posted the same question on frenzy also and some of those guys were helpful as well. The fix is probably a lil different for each car. My last resort was going to be that I would buy some header wrap for it to keep it quiet.

 

I have a rattle near the cat area. Don't know if it's the engine, cats or one of the braces.
