Helix has decent quality, but you will get some "rasp" with these. But for $160, its a good bolt-on gain.

Why would a cat get a BETTER gain than a straight pipe?

Take a look at Fast Intentions - check out the marketplace - the lowest prices since the launch of the system a year ago!!

If you get standard testpipes - you'll get rasp and noise - if you get resonated testpipes, you'll have a far less likelihood of getting rasp. HFC's - are the best choice for performance and sound overall.

You can get 300 cell metallic or 400 cell ceramic CATS. The 300 cell perform better and will give you more volume, and you'll likely be happiest. You'll also not get the unburnt gas smells with the HFC's.

Rick

FYI - the guys who designed the Labree pipes - left there over a year and a half ago, and opened their own shop - Fast Intentions - so you have the designers/inventors of the original product still making them.

I'd pass on the Helix test pipes unless you like rasp and the occasional CEL light (unless you put in spark plug non foulers).

I would definitely take a look at what Fast intentions and Berk Technology are selling for our cars. I have the Fast Intention high flow cats and I like'em. If I was to go for test pipes, I would look at what Berk Technology has or FI.
