Small video of my G35 with newly added mods

I made this video yesterday during lunch in a parking lot. It's just a small video to get a feel for the sound of some new mods I recently put on.

Injen SES Exhaust
Helix Test Pipes (new)
TopSpeed Pro-1 Headers (new)

http://www.lexipro.com/images/g35_clip2.MPG

I know I am going to get a lot of comments about the rasp, but it's expected with the Test Pipes. I don't really mind it that much, but everyone has their own taste. As far as the smell from the Test Pipes, it has gone away after a week of having them on, and yes, I do have a CEL already . Oh ya, I screwed up the launch too, blah blah blah.

not bad sounding but not my cup of tea....only because my old car sounded like that and after 2 years of driving with that noise I got real tired of it.

Nice vid Crypten! Sound wasn't too bad for me but then again it's easier to tell if in person. BTW...Are those the PIAA rims? They look sick! Are they 19s or 20s and did you drop your car? TIA for the info!

Thanks, I don't think the sound is that bad either. You are correct thoug, it's easier to get a scope of the sound in person, and in person it sounds deeper. The best way to listen is a drive by, which I attempted to do... somewhat .

Yes sir, they are 19" Silver PIAA Super Rozza's. I don't have the car dropped yet, I have been tossing the idea around for awhile, but haven't decided yet. What do you think? Does it need a drop?

Yo,

Do you have any pics of the wheels from far and close, Those are my favorite

choice of wheels to get. Also how much did they cost?

Thanks. Peace. 1

Great vid. The raspiness is probably only noticeable from the outside.
Love the P. S. Rozza's too.

It's not dropped? Wow! I thought it was! IMHO I don't think you need to drop it unless you're going for more show than go. It looks to me you want the GOOOOOO!!! Hahaha! Also, how are the roads where you are at? Is your car a daily driver? In Houston some roads are bad and some are good. It also floods here as well sometimes. I'm kinda toying with the idea of getting 19's or 20 PIAAs myself only thing is 20's are heavy so i prolly won't be able to drive too fast and i'm afraid to bend the rim. How big is the gap on your car with the 19s?

Hope this helps

Dude that sounds pretty good. So the rasp comes from the test pipes? Would it sounds pretty similar without the test pipes?

Thanks. Here are a few pics up close. Excuse the crappy quality of the pics, I am sure other forum members can show you better pics of these rims .

As far as price goes, call up (716) 674-2334 and ask for Mike. Tell him Jay with the G35 sent you. He gave me a great deal, so I am sure he will hook you up too. The website for his shop is at http://www.InnovativeTuning.com.

The roads in NJ are actually average. This is my daily driver, so I do mostly highway driving, and I haven't had a problem yet. The ride is a bit more stiff, but other than that it's fine. When I drive back home in NYC I have to be careful of potholes and crap on the road, that's when driving with 19's becomes interesting. My tires are 245/35/19f and 275/30/19r also.

Thanks, and yes, the raspiness is only audible from the outside. In the cabin you can hear it somewhat, but it's nothing that would drive me crazy.

The majority of the rasp is from the test pipes, yes. The exhaust had a little rasp to it, but since getting the test pipes the rasp has increased a few db's .

That sounds completely different from a stock exhaust!

That is a friggin' huge empty parking lot. I'm sure you have fun sliding around in it

I had trouble opening the file as well, until I right-clicked and saved target to my desktop. Opened just fine for me then.

Definately a tad too raspy for my taste, but it does sound like a mean little SOB!

I'll try to post a vid when my Nismo header & Y-pipe / Crawford Cats / OEM Rear section combo is in place... ...for the archives. Having all of the vid files posted has definately helped in my search for an exhaust. Thanks for all who have posted them in the past.

Sounds VERY aggressive!
I assume 5AT?
How is interior noise? Any drone during city driving and especially highway driving?
What other performance mods do you have?
I wonder if exhaust mods gain alot power for G35s..
