Z-tube

so some really cool friends just gave me a Z-tube with the Z air box for my G35 (free).

Anyways, I have couple questions:

Should I use the Z-tube with the stock G box + K&N Filter?

or

Should I get the cone type K&N filter and use it (like a pop charger)?

if so, what size of the Cone Filter do I need? The JWT Pop charger is just the filter and the lil fabicrated duct right? The duct, I think I can make one myself.

Yep, that's the stock. The Z-tube doesn't have those extra protrusions, it's pretty much just a straight tube.

On the bright side you can now just buy the K&N filter or the Amsoil EA filter and try it out without a Z-tube to see what you think.

1) z-air box will NOT fit a g35

2) my vote goes for z_tube+k&n+modified stock air box (removal of power duct)

3) if you're 'z-tube' isn't just a tube but is a tube with a rectangle hanging off the bottom, that's a G35 stock itnake

I just bought and installed the Z tube and the JWT Popcharger! WOW! Is all I can say. The sound is sweet. Now the G GRRROOOWWWLLLLLSSS at WOT and it does feel a bit quicker. The stock G tube is so restrictive that it is a joke. Anyways, just my $.02 but it was worth it for me.
