i never planned on this mod but it was too good to pass up so now the window tint bumped down on the list for now... At least I'll be a few pounds lighter, look nicer, and sound nicer.....
if fujitsubo came in classy looking dual tip as this hks, i would be all over it but it doesn't so this gets the go... You listening fujisutbo? Most if not all sedan owners prefer exhaust systems with dual tip mufflers....

Hey, guys:
I have an HKS "rear section" (muffler) on order since it looks awesome and I hope it to be a moderate sound change. My question is: I have an Unlimited Tuning Y-pipe (looks identical to Fujitsubo) installed on my 2004 Sedan and like that since it's stainless, and the HKS is stainless, but I would like to remove the midpipe and replace it with one that isn't f*ing loud but is made of stainless steel as well.
Most of the stainless steel systems out there have a midpipe that won't bolt up in the stock locations. Do you guys have suggestions?
Thanks much!
Rick

Bought and installed a used HKS Sport Muffler (rear section) from a fellow member (thank you myst (tony)) yesterday..... Love the sound of the exhaust the moment I heard it on myst's black g35... since he had a coupe midpipe, it was slightly more raspier than when it was on mine, but i have the mrev+ and stock midpipe so i liked the even deeper sound of the exhaust note... i took like an hour to remove stock and install the hks one, since i'm a meticulous and slow wrencher... In a sense it basically looks stock, but sounds more alive than stock....
the way hks set up the tips were nice and seem to flow with the g's bumper line more.... had my brother do some driveby's and oh man, i just love it...
now all i gotta do is cancel my cardomain order....
oh yeah, be sure to buy the aftermarket muffler mounting bracket from g35parts.com (aka everythingg35.com) if you have an 05+ cause you are gonna need it.... Thanks again myst....

update!!!
just called and canceled my hks sport muffler order at cardomain.com....
they were lightning quick, as soon as he said i'll receive an email confirmation about canceling the order, i checked my email for other reasons and booyah!! it was already there... less than 30 seconds...
i did save at least a ben franklin and a few andy jacksons by getting from fellow member "myst".... thanks again.... the 05+ aftermarket exhaust mounting bracket alone would have cost me $40 shipped...
i'll look up cardomain for future purchases due to their low price guarantee...
again, i love the deep sound of the exhaust at startup.... sounds almost like a v8....once the car comes to a steady warm idle, the sound settles down close to stock but with a slight humm to it.

Mine does not have "HKS" imprinted on it at all. Got picts??? Either sounds like a hoax, or a ghey custom mod.
HP gains?.....none. Sound/exhaust note smile index?.....10 out of 10
