DaveO,
Both G35c6mt's are identical 2003's Premium Pkge.w/out Nav. Mine has the Aero Pkge. & his dosen't. As far as Mods we both have the Stillen Exhaust & Eibach Pro-Kit Springs. My buddy had the Stillen Intake w/out the "Z"tube when we did the quater mile runs & I had the Stillen Cold Air Intake. Additionally I am running Nismo Sway Bars, Synthetic Oil & Hyper Ground Wires & he isn't. That w/ the Aero Pkge. on my car might account for some of the Top end gains for a small advantage. It will be interesting to see if the "Z" tube we installed a few days ago will make a diff. this Friday Night. I'll let ya know...
The MAF sensor, I just covered it w/ Carbon Fiber & stuck a Nismo sticker on it to dress it up a little. I wish it was a Nismo MAF. After Installing the Shiny Injen Intake the black Plastic MAF looked a little Plain...

Re: install my injen intake
Very nice. Everyone says to beware of hydro-lock with the Injen. I had a Dinan CAI on my 330i and never had any problems.I'm not going to take it into a bog but I just don't want to worry about driving my car in the rain.
Thoughts?

Re: install my injen intake
DaveO,
looks like the "Z" tube on my buddy's G35c6mt improved his time in the Quarter mile. With all things being equal by about 1/10 sec & top speed by 1.5 mph. To some who aren't familiar to racing , this might seem trivial. But these gains show the "Z" tube is worth the investment.
I still had a better time & speed , but this could be from my additional Mods I disscused earlier in this Post. I turned a 14.50 @ 98.7mph & his best was a 14.68 @ 96.2 mph.
Traction was again an issue at this track. Spinning through 1st gear or easing it out until you hit second gear. This is not one of the better Drag strips in our area due to the Higher altitude & track conditions. We were told by some other racers there, that at a different track about 2 hours south that our cars would probably run in the Low 14's or even maybe High 13's Range. Probably right since Two Differant ZO6's were running in the Mid to low 13's. These are usually mid to low 12 secound cars...anyway just wanted to give you the latest report.
