Thumbs up First Look at Strup Test Pipes!

Hey everyone - there's a good thread on the my350z.com forum about Strup's new test pipes. They'll be available VERY soon. We are just working out final pricing with Charlie over at Strup, and we'll have a great sale to offer you all.

Here's the link to the thread for your reference. Some really good pics there, showing the exceptional quality of the welds and build of these pipes.

http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=180785

I will be posting a vendor classified ad very soon too, and will post a link here for that sale as soon as it's available.

Thanks for the interest!

Any chance of a resonated version or HF cat from Strup in the near future?

Looks nice, although I would never buy non-resonated test pipes due to the rasp.

hey guys - I don't believe Strup has any plans to make a resonated version right away. I'll keep in touch with Charlie and let you know if that changes. We have talked about HF cats too in the past. I will shake the tree branches over there again and see what falls out!

Thanks all for your interest. In stock and ready to ship!

They look nice, but can someone who has them installed or will have them installed soon let us know if they are tingy sounding. A bit of ting is fine in certain low rpm spots, but if it is throughout the rpm band it will sound like a farm truck and **** me off. For the price if they don't mess the sound up too much they are a wicked deal.

EDIT: The rasp may not be too bad with my bassani exhaust since it is far less high pitched as some of the other brands of exhaust I have heard. How long is the package deal going to run for? Seems like a really good deal.

We're waiting on some customer feedback as to the sound of these pipes. We have a bunch of sets out there in various stages of pre and post install. I will try to get their feedback posted as soon as possible.

We'll be offering this deal on the test pipes for at least the rest of this month, and as you know, we'll always have a great deal going. The package deal with the headers and test pipes together will be going on for at least the rest of this month too!
Thanks for the interest.

EDIT: I may also have a dyno sheet of the Strup headers and test pipes on a 350Z coming soon too, so you can get an idea of the expected gains with that package deal on both together. I'll do my best to keep you all updated.
