The Nismo headers will fit just fine...If you want a better pair, check out the Top Secret headers- they fit beautifully...

Yes, the headers fit the sedan...That's what my mechanic had to say...It's finding the exhaust kits that fit that's hard- I just decided to have custom parts fabricated to make 350Z kits fit (Invidia N1 exhaust)...If it's made for the VQ35DE, be it a Z or G kit, it can be made to fit any car that utilizes the engine...You just need to find a reputable mechanic or be tricky once in a while to get around minor fitment issues, such as room for components...

As far as Top Secret headers they are available in stainless steel or titanium (I recommend titanium)...Top Secret knows their way around any Nissan product, and that's why I always trust them and decided to source them for the headers (that, and not everyone has them or knows about them)...They've done Silvias, Skylines, now the Fairlady (350Z/G35C)... They're one of the companies working on a Z/G twin turbo kit...Nismo, of course, knows Nissans, but since they aren't going to warranty any mods to the motor you might as well go with a superior product if you can afford it...I love Nissan- the FX35 is getting the Nismo treatment under the hood, but Top Secret is, to me, a better product source...The stainless headers will run you $2,640 and over $3K for titanium...

My only advice to anyone looking to mod their G35C/G35S is to ignore engine mods that are supposedly for 350Z, or G35 Coupe, or G35 Sedan- they all utilize the VQ35DE and you can get around fitment issues if you trust in your abilities or the skills of your mechanic...These engine mods are designed for the VQ35DE and sometimes specialized for a certain model, but it can all be used...Most Japanese companies jumped on the 350Z and therefore named their modding kits 350 this or 350 that...Other companies, like Impul, like the higher end models and that's why they make exhaust or engine mods for the G35C and G35S (Skyline) and name their VQ35DE kits after those rides...Some fitment issues have to be addressed because of some differences under the hood, but if you want to make it work you'll figure it out...Body Kits, of course, cannot be used universally- engine mods are different...

$2640. for headers!!! Are you sure those aren't 18K Gold headers?! My God, I Love quality products just as much as the next guy, but that price is extremely pricey!!!

And that's just the stainless price...$3799 for titanium...That's what I'm running...Remember, this is business for me...I highly recommend Top Secret, but I have nothing but respect for Nismo...

$3799 for headers is just plain rediculous. To save just a couple of pounds over steel headers? And the price for the stainless headers is insane as well. These prices are double, maybe even tripple, what they should be. There is simply not that much engineering and/or build cost in a pair of headers, unless they are made as one-off items.

I haven't dynoed yet, and the HP and torque gains aren't why I went with these headers...I said before, this is a promotional ride and I can't just put the most common parts out there on the car...I really don't care if $4K for headers sounds ridiculous...If you don't want to use Top Secret components than don't use them...Nismo's headers are great performers, and I'm sure the Borlas are nice too...

I love how people who have no idea who Top Secret is or what the components are like want to say these headers are a rip-off...No my fault I'll spend more to buy quality...Borla is no where near To Secret's quality...Nismo is good, TS is top of the line...

I'd better stay out of the pricing conversation but I would like to know more about the exhaust you mentioned. Earlier, SnM, you said it's getting an exhaust to fit that's the problem. Does the NISMO catback not fit the G? I ask because we did a project last month to put the cat back on a Roadster and the question came up but since no one in this area has considered buying one to fit it on a G....we still don't know. Where do you base your statement? I'd like to hear more from someone's experience.

I'm not running the Nismo exhaust, I went with Invidia N1...I really can't believe that there would exist a problem with mating the exhaust up...My FX is getting the Nismo treatment, and that hasn't been a problem yet- headers, exhaust, not to mention the camshaft kit...Anything Nismo made for the VQ35DE isbeing applied...No issues so far...

Thanks....that info helps a lot. One more thing, and it's probably on another thread...is there a supercharger that you recommend? If so, is it Z compatible?
