i'm asking for you guys' opinions because i'm seriously thinking about buying this product and i know they're a very good company. if you don't have anything to say about this product, please keep your smart comments to yourselves.
Grubbs....ok folks, their intake for $99.......?
I refuse to put anything on my G that isn't top of the
line and tested. I like my Stillen CAI with the large
K&N filter almost like the one I installed on my
previous 300ZX. I don't worry about water or excessive heat. I didn't have to take the front end off
to install....that's a good thing!! Point being, spend
a little more and don't buy junk!!

There are so many people that's over hyped about brand names for Intake & Exhaust. Intake is just piping & Good Filter. Then again, there are too many people with Lots of $$$$ to spend on *Brand name* stuff and never get their hands dirty with DIY and into realistic experience.
For example: In Honda & Acura Performace area, if people still ignorantly stick with there policy of brand name stuffs, then they won't get anything out of their bolt-ons. A lot of off-brand, custom fabrication shops did their own headers, etc. And guess what? They made it to the magazine that their headers show the most gains when comparable to all these Great brand name, say 2-3 times better?? And to make it ever worse, it's powers TO THE WHEELS, FWD Cars. I even tested my own mini version of custom fabrication setup and Brand name stuffs. For Intake, I don't notice a single HP difference when switch between AEM and an Ebay Pipe. For header & Exhaust. A custom setup gain me an average of 14whp more than these brand names like Greddy Evo, Apex'I, etc.
I'm glad that I learn everything when I used to work on my Hondas. I learn how to work hard and spend my money accordingly to maximize its benefit. Now, I can afford the G35 and play with it, I want to get the most out of it. And I'm glad that what I learned back then still helps me. Of course, there are a lot more to learn since I just got the G, but at least I think I know what I'm talking about.
Then again, if you have $$ to play it, you're more than welcome to do what you want and buy yourself a piece of mind knowing that you have the best brand name in town. You don't have to take my words for it. It's just my $0.02 compared to your $$$$$
