It does look great; but its actually a used system w/ a new rear section. (Comes out to about 200 less than a brand new system shipped to him; minus his time to order up used system; put it on; take off old rear section and ship it out; pay for new rear section; which = more than what he would pay for a brand new system shipped to his door) Shadowflare; did you finally find out how to install a USED DIRECT BOLT ON system by yourself?

Performs great!

Hey Gang,

The car sounds and looks great! I'll post the sound clip tomorrow or Friday.

DG: I'm a bit surprised that my decision bothers you. Allow me to explain. First off - yes, I agree with that I wish I would have bought the complete system with the dual-wall tips in the first place. However, I made a mistake of trying to save money and bought a used one with the funky, cheap-looking single-wall slash-cut tips which after installing I regrettably discovered that I did not like the image they presented to my car. So I decided to spend a bit more to get the look I wanted on the G. Wouldn't anyone in this forum do the same to their car? IMHO, a small price to pay to fix something that was *wrong* with the car.

BTW, it took 15 minutes to order the new piece, 45 minutes to install, 15 minutes to box and ship my old rear section to the buyer (I stuck it right back in the box from Stillen). My buddy works for DHL so I shipped it for $5 flat, so no cost there. I can't honestly state with that 1 hour and 15 minutes of my time is worth $200. If I made that much money ($160/hour), I'd have bought a whole new exhaust in a heartbeat!

Bottom line:
  • looks brand new
  • sounds perfect
  • more refined than the other tips
  • cheaper than a full new cat-back system

DG: I'm not sure what you meant by that comment. I always knew how to install a direct bolt on system by myself. Are you upset that it's used? Not sure why you'd care...maybe you're girlfriend's mad at you?

Look for the sound clips soon.

Sir;

I am not upset in anyway that you need to seek out hours of technical assistance in order to install a full bolt on catback exhaust system for your vehicle. I am not upset that you have no knowledge of aftermarket parts whatsoever but plague other people w/ your problems. Just hoping that you would do your research before getting OTHER people involved in your penny pinching fiascos. Thanks for your time; I'm sure it is worth much less than mine.

Red face Here's some good advice for you

...and you know who you are (DGbasecoupe). You walk around living a semi charmed kind of life constantly complaining about others. Give me a break you poser. You have no idea what the world is even about, I lived it, grew up in it, and have friends thast have been killed on the battlefield. I'm sick of all the morons who just bitch and bring down others with ludicrous comments that have no substance behind them, it sickens me. Stop being part of the problem and be part of the solution. How lucky are you someone cares if you live or die, don't you get it? Take a deep breath appreciate who you are what you have and realize how it is you are so fortunate you ****ing hippocrite. You are so insignificant to this world but you act as if it revolves around you. The axe will fall if your not looking and then you will really know what its like to actually have sacrificed something close to you. It;s all trust funds and non-sincere laughs to you.

What is it that actually makes you inspired, is it your myopic state of mind that allows you to fool yourself in to thinking you actually have conviction..about any thing, would you be ready to die for that conviction, does it really mean that much to to you or are you really content just to be here in the first place. Say what you want deflect all you can , because there can't possibly be anything wrong with you, you are so true and perfect, I'd love to see the mirror you're looking in. Its already been sung before..all you need is love..love..love is all you need.

Make a difference or just shut the **** up.

Smile For those who wanted some sound clips

The easiest way for me to capture these audio clips was to use an audio recorder right in the driver's seat with me. They should give you a good idea of what the Stillen exhaust sounds like from the driver perspective.

Note: These are not your "traditional" sound clips taken from a G on a dynamometer but nonetheless I hope you enjoy them!

LMAO at this thread...so many times people need a bitch beating when it just really shouldn't come to that. Anyway, back to more important things...I am thinking of getting the Stillen for my 05 Coupe and I wanted to desperately hear your sounds clips but as of right now the links are both dead...can you email them to me? Glad you love the exhaust too!
