I just bought my 06 coupe in December. I have been researching the best ways to gain more power w/out forced induction. MREV keeps coming up - can someone please tell me what it is and how it works?

To keep things simple.. How air flows from your intake tube to your combustion chamber can have a BIG effect on performance. "eh? how?" think of your engine as a giant air pump.. now if a runner is longer it'll allow air velocity to increase.. because our cars are not equiped with a supercharger or turbo it depends on velocity to push air into the combustion chamber.. Cause Infiniti shortened the runners it caused the air to loose some of its velocity.. kinda like sucking on a straw.. try breating through a straw.. easy huh? okey now go get a toilet paper roll and breath through that.. Now do the same thing but while running. To keep it simple.. Infiniti allowed the engine to breath easyer at higher RPMs (more air) but in return caused it to loose some of that low end torque (loss of velocity)..
mRev replaces the long runners with shorter runners like the 03-04 BUT they add a twist to it.. If they were to simply replace the long runners into shorter ones you'll loose ALOT of top end power. but in return you'll gain ALOT of mid range.. around +25tq at 4000RPM-ish on a dynapack.. BUT you end up loosing alot of HP in the upper 600RPMS since the engine isnt getting the amount of air it is designed to (valve lift, cam shaft..) So to keep things simple.. you've turned ur 2005-06 6MT G35 back into a 03-04 6MT... to fix this motordyne's added a 5/16th spacer and machined part of the runners for #1 and #2 cylinders. by doing so they've increased the total volume of the intake plenum allowing the engine to breath at the upper RPMS (more horsepower). So why do we only use a 5/16 and not a 1/2"? the 1/2" will slow air velocity down too much and ruin that nice mid range torque and hp... but by using the 1/2" you bearly loose any top end if any at all (if i recall it was like 1-2hp) with a slight increase in mid-range torque.. since daily driving is done at 2-4k rpm and torque is what gets you out of the hole its not worth using the 1/2"
So to answer your question.. mrev includes
a lower plenum and 5/16" spacer..
add-ons include
ISO THERMAL KIT: manifold gasket and a Coolant control valve
Copper ISO THERMAL KIT: manifold gaskets and a copper throttle body heater
IMO if your in a warm area (that doesnt snow) get the mRev Plus with ISO Thermal kit.. you wont regret it

Does this also apply to the combination of a Crawford V5 plenum and the MREV++? Will the Crawford slow down the velocity too much and ruin the TQ/HP gains the MREV++ produces? Thanks.
The Crawford plenum and the MREV+ both solve the same proble with fuel distribution to the front cylinders. Using both together might be too much of a good thing.
If you have a Crawford plenum, I'd skip the Plus part of the MREV.
