After the countless hrs of research, I decided NOT to go TT. headers + cats?

Quote: I didn't know Crawford Headers come polished like that.
They don't. I had Crawford send my headers directly to Jet-Hot for coating with their least expensive coating. Doug's recommendation. They look pretty good don't they? Perform even better.

What I was told by a reputable exhuast shop: For the amount of work and cost involved getting new headers and the amount of hp/tq increase that it gives, it isn't worth it on a NA car.

I saw a dyno here for new exhaust system ("fast intentions" I think). They showed a gain of between 5 and 10hp for exhaust system and almost 30 with "full system", which I guess includes headers/hi flow or test tube. And it was increases across the board, not a loss of low end!

I'm looking at Crawford's or Kinetix too (pretty much have to have a catalytic converter in California). I like our exhaust too and think hi-flow cats may be the biggest bang for the dollar.

I haven't seen a dyno for just cats, anyone know?

I hoping I can slow down on purchases after this too..

The Crawford Headers would've ran me 1,000 bucks plus another 675 for the install since I don't have the tools and equipment to pull the motor. That is way too much in my opinion just for headers. I ordered my Strup Headers for under 500 bucks and I can do the install myself which I prefer. Plus I can get the Crawford cats and install those at the same time. Save myself 675 and have pretty much the same gains...

Everyone who has installed headers on NA has reported noticeable gains. I have the Z-tube with Pop-charger and the MREV+ Copper so the headers and cats should be a great edition.
