I need a V35 tuning program ASAP

i'm getting a baseline reading tomorrow, then install the Kinetix SSV Extreme intake manifold and hi-flow cats and will run again for the difference. the shop i'm taking it to offered to tune as well, and was wondering if anyone on here has tuning software or anything to tune the G's with... please PM me... or possibly point me in the right direction... i'd really appreciate it, thanks...

there is really no such thing as "software to tune the G with"... it's not like a GM motor where you can just plug in a programmer and change values. in order to tune your motor you would have to install some form of engine management...

GReddy eManage Ultimate, TurboXS UTEC, UniChip, SplitSecond, HKS F-Con.

do a search here on the forum and you will find tons of information on all of these options. you can then decide which is best based on your goals. the two that are most popular right now are the GReddy and the UTEC. it's also important to pick an engine management solution that both you and your tuner are comfortable with.

Suggestion. Go over to my350z.com, and PM Shariff. He's installed, tuned, and supported by the EU and the Utec. Get his opinions. He's done both on NA and FI cars alike.

One thing I don't like about the eu is the requirement for all the harnesses and splicing. It's cheaper than the utec, but (at least as recently as a year ago) it will end up being in the same price neighborhood after all the wiring is completed.

Now, don't take that info as gospel. That's just what I remember from my days of research a few months back. I believe there was a new autosport harness, or something like that, that was supposed to cut down on the wiring hurdles. Then again, that might have been for emanage blue; I can't exactly remember.

At this point(if I had the money and ***** to pull the trigger), I'm still undecided. Gurgen's recent comments on the EU vs the UTEC have got me leaning in favor of the EU, especially with the individual cylinder tuning(though how helpful would this be for NA?), and even more importantly, the launch control. But then again, the UTEC has the snazzy knock light(optional).

The *one* thing that concerns me about the EU is all the wiring. It's my understanding that with the utec it's a simple plug-in affair. Not so the EU(again, possibly stale information). I'm particularly concerned about removing the EU in the future, and getting all the wiring back to stock.

The other thing that really put me off about the EU was an old thread over on my350z. This dude out west, possibly in AZ, had a b!tch of a time getting the thing installed, and it was never done correctly. Apparently, the first guy at the shop he chose was color-blind. Not a great idea to have that guy doing the wiring work. IIRC, He ended up having the unit shipped to Shariff because the shop told him it was defective. Shariff plugged it in, found that it had been wiped, but fully functioned. I just don't know if I want that type of potential headache.

Ding! Ding! Ding! . . . I'll just simply sit back for now and see what develops.
