Yeah, you probably wanna cut it right before it bends to go down behind the headlight.

I installed my Injen yesterday, took me a little over half hour to do. I do enjoy that sound it makes. It sucks air right away and that nice whistle sound when you step on it sounds sweet! Around the 4k and above it gives my sedan a very respectable sound. My engine has been stock until yesterday with the addition of the CAI. The following is in the mail or will be:

Kinetix plenum - arrives tuesday
Stillen headers and exhaust - arrive friday
MD 5/16 iso thermal spacer - arrives thursday
GT Spec front and rear tie bars - ordered almost a month ago but partshippers and GT spec is taking their sweet time to fill orders
SPC toe bolts and camber arms - already here

I will take all the engine stuff to Z Fever here in tampa, they have a dyno @ $65 a pop for 2 runs. Will do the before and afters.

Based on testing a few years ago, the short setup will net more power. The "CAI" setups are a long way for air to travel, and soak heat at the same time.. Sorry to the guys that spent lots of money, but that's the truth.

With regard to the long ram intakes . . . On paper, it would seem that the amount of air entering the plenum area would diminish over the length of the long tube . . . Given that the velocity of the said air is traveling through a tube of constant area.

i installed mine by going through the fender plastics didnt have to take the bumper off at all. its also really easy to cut the foam piece u just pull it out and cut a bit off nothing big. i think u will benifit more by putting the full piping on, u will get direct cold air from the front of the car and your motor will run alot cooler.......

I kept mine short ram, and now i'm looking at possibly doing some kind of heat shield like the JWT. Not sure if it'll help any, but we'll see.
