As long as they dont block up the bolt holes, its fine, however I do not think a jet hot coating will quiet the raspyness much. The Alphawerks headers are inexpensive and are not really a top quality header, but are great for the money..They should last a few years problem free, but they are very thin and noisy..

But its not a Jet Hot Coating. SwainTech is applied about 8 times thicker then Jet Hot. But yeah i think your right that it wont make much of a difference with the sound. At first i thought it would because i thought i read that the White Lightning Coating was applied .15 of an inch thick. But now i re-read it and it says it said it's applied .015 of an inch thick. That is still about 8 times thicker then Jet Hot. But still not thick enough to make much of a difference in sound.

Even if i coated the inside and outside of the headers, it would only make the piping about .8MM thicker

...there is also an issue with the Alphawerks headers and high-flo cats lowering the exhaust angle so that there's not enough room between the back pipe into the muffler and the crossmember that runs across the exhaust at the back of the car. It'll rattle when cold and at certian RPMs. Some 14 mm washers added to the crossmember bolts should solve that.
Oh boy, this is going to get interesting. I just had my headers/Crawford cats installed, and have been experiencing exactly these same problems.

My shop verified that the headers themselves were not in anyway defective, so I am hoping that any leak can be between the headers/cats. I'll have them check on this today.

Also, I've got the same rattling sounds that are absolutely driving me nuts, so I hope this 14mm washer will do the trick.

I was under the impression that the car was making these strange pulsating noises as a result of the ECU not being used to the headers?

Update on the rattling: When I went under the car to install the washers, I noticed that the sound maight have been a bit farther back. So I eventually localized it to the muffler. It was the guard that's screwed onto the back of the muffler, looks like a large aluminum triangle. I took it off and viola, no more rattling.

Congratulations on fixing your rattling problems. I have Stillen true-dual exhaust and haven't detected any rattles/buzzing coming from it.
