Quick back window tint question
I got my tint done in Huntington Beach. I had him tint up to the dots and do a strip of opaque vinyl over the dots which looks 100% better. From the outside it looks awesome. From the inside it looks a little odd since it has the opaque strip, but overall I think it's worth it. I went to Campbell Window Tinting. Their site is www.campbelltint.com. Overall I think their work was great, but there is one small hair I found in the rear tint that they couldn't fix easily, so I left it. The main reason I went with them, was because I wanted a color-safe dyed tint so there's no metal to screw with my Valentine 1. Since this type of tint has a lifetime warrenty against color fade, peeling and pupling, I felt safe. Lots of dyed tints don't have this kind of warrenty which is why most people avoid dyed tints and go with a metallic. Ceramic on the other hand is the absolute best, but costs more than double. Oh and Campbell also has a tint warrenty for getting a tint ticket. If you get a tint ticket for the front two sides, they'll remove the tint and re-tint the windows for 50% off.
I got my dad's boxster s tinted for his birthday and the backwindow had a slight amount of dot matrix around the perimeter in a few areas. they said it was impossible to tint...BS but whatever. anyway it is not too noticeable and still looks good. but his boxster is a convertible and the back window is tiny while the g35 has a big one. that might make a huge difference.
